Jeremy POV I was missing Lizzie like crazy, her sexy ass, her divine figure and her blackberry and rosemary scent. My wolf was pining for her too, but I knew she was safe and I just had to keep going. I had received intel that Ashley’s men had been sniffing around our borders, no doubt trying to get close to Willow. What was his fascination with her? She wasn’t his mate, so why was he still trying. He must know with me back that we don’t need an alliance and I’m so angry at Willow for letting him get so involved with her. I felt guilty for injecting her with wolfsbane, but I had decided to carry it around just in case she needed to be contained. Jeremy POVBrett didn’t have the relationship with his parents as I did with mine. I already knew this, it’s why he spent so much time at ours growing up. If I didn’t know it before though, I’d certainly know it now. Finding your fated mate was meant to be joyous and an all-encompassing experience, but Brett hadn’t even named Willow and his parents were pushing for him to consider the alliance with Alicia. I can now see why Lizzie didn’t warm to Alicia. I was seeing her true colours and she was being disrespectful to my sister, who is her future Luna to the Northern packs. My elbows were on my desk and my head resting in my hands as I listened to them go back and forth. I was getting a migraine, so I started to rub my temples. Lugh POV My sister had informed me of her vision of Onara Eardwulf and exactly where I needed to be. She was younger than I expected and a little naive. It was clear she had no idea of her heritage and her strength. I could feel the bindings on her and hear the whispers of magic under her skin. Poor thing. I hope it didn’t hurt her. She was quite a beauty; she has long wavy light brown hair, rosy cheeks and hazel eyes with gold flakes in them. I knew instantly the gold flakes were the trace of magic. Once we reached the bus stop, I took her hand and walked her towards the edge of the village to a Tudor style house that I had been renting whilst in Kent. Our grandparents originated from Ireland and after the death of my parents, my sister and I relocated to Hampshire. We lived in the New Forest area in a small witch community due to the readily available herbs and wildlife. As we entered the front door Willow gazed around and looked fearful of the dried lavender hanging by the door.

Brett POV I was losing my mind! Willow had run away from me and I knew she overheard my parents and Alicia. After trying to chase Willow down, we lost her scent and after searching a wide perimeter we had no choice but to come back and try to use technology to trace her. She had turned her phone off, so we traced her to a bus stop and then it was almost like she had vanished into thin air. I’d directed my men to go straight to the area, but she was long gone. They had then followed the bus route to the next main Town but again at every bus stop…nothing. I was pulling my hair out. Jeremy was on a war path trying to direct his men to find a lead. My parents were confused at our worry, and I was forced to tell them Willow was my mate. I hadn’t told them because I knew they would expect her to go straight into Luna training, but I didn’t want that for Willow just yet. Willow POV Brett is staring down at me with his hands holding on tightly to my hips. I can feel his struggle internally with his wolf, fighting him for dominance. I try to step away from him, but he growls at me which results in a whimper coming from my wolf. She steps closer to him and rubs my cheek against his neck and nips at his skin. Only a love bite, nothing that broke the skin. I can sense her need to calm her mate down and reassure him. She wants to rub her scent into him, to show him, she is only his. His wolf, satisfied by my wolf’s affection, gives back control. Brett starts to breathe more steadily and his grip on my hips loosens slightly. “Little wolf what am I going I do with you?” A husky voice comes out of Brett. “We should leave, you aren’t safe!” He tucks some of my hair behind my ear and places his hand on my neck, his thumb stroking my cheek. Willow POV“Glad to hear it. It’s good to discuss things, prevents any miscommunication.” Lugh brightly smiles at us both. I hop off Brett and help Lugh unpack the shopping. “I thought stir fry…quick and easy to clean?” Lugh shrugs his shoulders unsure whether we would approve.“Sounds great. I’m happy to cook?” I smile at him keen to thank him for his generosity in keeping me safe.“I won’t poison you Willow!” Lugh laughs at me. Brett, not understanding our joke, jumps up off the chair and stands behind me. He places his hand around my waist and pulls me into him slightly.When dinner is ready, we sit down to quickly eat. Lugh has made it clear he wants to leave as soon as possible to beat any intel Alpha Ash may receive in the next coming days. Once we have finished dinner, Brett and I offer to wash up the dishes. Brett POV We managed to hit the road before 8pm. Being end of November the evenings were already dark by 5pm, so we had a good cover of darkness to move on. It is a cold chilly evening and Lugh looks ridiculous wrapped up in numerous layers of clothing. He can hardly move his arms as his coat sleeves are extremely tight with all the layers under them. Wils and I can’t help but giggle. I sat in the back with Willow resting next to me. Lugh was driving in front listening to some music on the media system. “Willow you should rest.” Lugh catches my eyes in the rear-view mirror. Jeremy POV“Hello…Jeremy? Are you even listening to me?” Dad was snapping his fingers in front of my face. “Sorry Dad, I was lost in thought.” I couldn’t get one small detail off my mind. “What is it?” Dad asks.
