“Kill her?!” Ben was so shaken that he sat down on the chair Alaric got up from. He kept shaking his head, wondering what he was hearing.

“Aye. You see, without my dragon form, I cannot fight in the war. I can naturally recover but it shall take years and I am sure I cannot hide enough for that time. “Mariah, what are you doing here?” A young man with long golden hair rushed Mariah on seeing her and he stopped moving when he saw the sleeping man she was sitting beside on the ground. “Who is this?”“Dionysus, please, I need your help.” Mariah pleaded.Dionysus knew he should ask more question but instead, he sighed and helped her carry Alaric. “Lord Vertimon is in your father’s palace as we speak, this is the best time to sneak into the waters without him noticing.”“Thank Goddess,” Mariah breathed a sigh of relief. As they approached the big sea, Dionysus turned to Mariah. “He is not a wanted man, is he?”Mariah didn’t answer.“Mariah, I won’t get in trouble with my uncle for doing this, will I?”“Dionysus, I can’t tell you more other than the fact that this man saved my life and I have to save his to repay my kindness. Please, help me.”Looking into her beautiful blue eyes, Dionysus sighed, he can never say no to her. With that, they walked into the sea and before diving in, Dion

Aliyah laughed at something Noah said and beat his shoulder lightly, pushing him away.“Come on, Aunt Ali, don’t be like this.” Noah said, laughing and trying to act sad as well.“Your puppy eyes aren’t going to work on me anymore, Noah, give it up.” Aliyah rolled her eyes.“Shit, I have to task mom to create a potion that would turn me back into a baby. I will always take it whenever I come to ask you for something. I can remember you hardly say no to me before.” He pouted.Aliyah laughed, “yeah? Then go ahead, let me know between Irene and I who indulges you more.”Noah stared at her, suddenly remembering something. “Ah, forget it,” he said. For as long as he can remember, Aliyah lets him get away with everything unlike his mother. Going to her now to make such a request was suicide.Aliyah laughed heartedly, knowing she had won but before she could say something else, she felt a presence materializing in the room. She turned to the spot until Asher was in front of her. “Asher, you

Mariah appeared in her room with her clothes stained with blood. She staggard to the bathroom, she had overfed a little and it was making her dizzy. She stepped into the shower, turned it on and started undressing as the water washed over her. By the time she was done in the shower, she was feeling a little bit better. She walked into her bedroom with a towel in hand as she dried her hair. She had forgotten Alaric was in the room and so had walked out naked. She gasped on seeing the sleeping man and heaved a sigh of relief before using the towel to cover herself. She never takes her shower in the room so she doesn’t have changing clothes.Sighing, she just teleported to her room in her father’s palace, put on some clothes and teleported back to the hotel suite. Alaric was still sleeping and she slowly approached the bed. She felt for his forehead and sighed in relief that his fever had gone down. She ran her fingers on her still damped hair and sighed in delight, the dizziness from ov

In a lovely room decorated with flowers, a woman dressed in a flowery robe laid lazily on the beautiful chaise longue and was fanned by three maidens with a leafy hand-fan. Another maiden knelt in front of her while carrying a small tray filled with snacks. The woman reached out lazily and picked a snack, taking a bite from it and closed her eyes to savor the taste.“Oh, Marvelous,” Selene chuckled. “You always surprise me with your baking skills, Lydia.”The maiden smiled and bowed her head, “I live to serve you, my beautiful goddess. If I don’t improve my skills for your taste buds, how can I call myself your loyal chef?”Selene chuckled, “you always know the words to my heart.” She took another bite from her snack and moaned in bliss. After swallowing, she glanced at one of the maidens fanning her. “Tell me, Adrasteia, what is going on in this boring Kingdom?”Adrasteia went on her knees and bowed her head. “I heard that God Ramiel lost three warriors on Earth a few days ago.”“Los

“High Alpha, the cops beat us to it,” a man said from the phone, and Asher cursed.“They are still there?” He asked.“Yes, Alpha. What should we do now?”Asher sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. “Any survival?”“A man. He looked pretty shaken up. I think they are holding him as a witness.”Asher instantly remembered about Mariah’s words. “What are the cops doing now?”“I think they are trying to get the CCTV footage. They have already sealed the area. They are talking it could be a bear attack but there was no sign of a bear or anything.”Asher rolled his eyes at that. “They are always suspecting it to be a bear attack. They never grow. You know they must not get a hold of the footage, right? And also, find a way to get the witness to me so that I can compel him and if it’s not possible, get rid of him. No matter how shaken up he is, when he recovers, he is going to be spilling every damn thing he had seen.”“Roger that si

Mariah and Alaric appeared in their suite and she carried Alaric to the bed where she helped him lie on his stomach. She touched the hole the arrow had left on his shirt and she could feel that the wound was still there. A poison wound is not that easy to heal over until the poison is extracted. She turned Alaric on his back and he winced in pain.“I’m so sorry,” she said, hastily unbuttoning the shirt.Alaric’s eyes were closed and his forehead was drenched in cold sweat. He was fighting to dilute the poison, transferring all his strength to his healing properties in other to heal himself.Seeing the pain he was going through and knowing it was because of her, Mariah didn’t know what to do. Just today, he had woken up from risking his life to save her and now he was back on the bed again. She turned him back on his stomach, now staring at the hole on his back. The wound had turned black with purple edges, a clear sign that it was poisoned. She didn’t know what to do, she is not a hea
