Alia baby you look stunning in this outfit.You know its a descent one and compliments your figure well.Said mrs Babu Alia's mother.

Alia was confused the moment she came  back from school,she was told to wear the dress.Although the dress is beautiful and she liked it,she doesnt understand why her mother is this excited today.lsn't it just a dress? she thought to herself.

Being curious for a while Alia couldn't take it anymore so she went on to ask her mother where she got this beautiful dress.She knowns that their financial status isnt that good to buy the dress which looks expensive.

Dear l will explain everything to you when your father comes back.For now go to have your food l have already placed it on the table.And yes be quick we have visitor's in the evening.Alia said ok and went to her room to freshen up and eat her food.

While having a bath,her mind went back to how her mother was weird and she felt something might be wrong somewhere but what is it.She couldnt guess what it was.

Evening came by quickly mrs Babu and Alia were busy cooking in the kitchen for dinner when Mr.Babu alived.Goodevening everyone.He said;

Alia: goodevening dad

Mrs Babu: goodevening husband.

Mr.Babu: Wife did you tell Alia about today the visitors are on the way.

Mrs.Babu: Husband l was waiting for you to tell her together.She said smiling.

Mr.Babu: Ok am here lets do it quick before they arrive Alia come here with me.

The three of them went to sit down in the living room which was very small with old fashioned sofas but they were clean.  Mr.Babu said.

Alia my daughter you know l love you so much and l wish nothing but the best for you.

The confused Alia said.well dad l know but why are you telling me this now.She really doesnt understand anything.Her parents all act weird today.

Mr.Babu said dear you will get engaged today to Mozey the chairman's son.

What! Alia was shocked.She was just 15 this year how can she get engaged.

Dad am still too young for this.How about my studies?she said.

Mrs.Babu; Baby its not that when you get engaged you have to marry now.We want you to continue your studies as well.When everything finished,you will marry Mozey at that you will be old enough.

Mr.Babu; Exactly dear.And besides that boy is not bad and the chairman's family are well of.You dont have to luck anything like here.

Alia; But this is too much for me and l dont know the person am getting engaged to.She heard that the chairman of this village has three sons and they all study in the city.

Mr.Babu; With time dear you get to know him.His name is Mozey Ouma and three years older than you.

Alia; What if he doesnt accept me?

Mrs.Babu; No baby he saw your picture recently and also accepted the engagement.

So baby feel at ease there is nothing harm in getting engaged to him.And am sure when you get married to him they will treat you well because its was mrs .Ouma herself that proposed this.

Mr.Babu; Dear,go and dress up they will be here soon.Let your mother finish dinner.

Alia went to her room and dress up in the dress that her mother had given her earlier.She looked too beautiful in it.Her shabby form made her look like a grown up person.

Looking at herself in the mirror Alia breathed a heavy sigh. For her parents, she is willing to do anything. Anyway she wasn't going to get married to today and give birth to twins just engagement.
