Chapter Forty Seven

CLOVER

Danny was right. Moping was not going to solve our problems. Those things had already happened, and there was nothing I could do about it.

After crying for a while, I wiped my tears and said, “ You’re right. I’m sorry…I was just….”, Danny sighed,“ I get it. We just have to get out of here fast” he said. That being said, I looked around the cell and suddenly had a sense of de ja vu, “ These walls look like they’ve been standing for decades, maybe there’s a weak spot” I mumbled.

I felt around the wall for something, anything. When I felt around the walls near Danny, some stones crumbled under my finger. Danny came to stand beside me and eyed the spot too.

As I was about to tell him the next plan, someone knocked on our cell bar. We froze in place, “ Shit…” Danny cursed under his breath and we turned around, only to find that it was the weird guard from before.

He was looking everywhere, as if to check of anyone was coming, before he opened the door and walked straight to me.
