CALEB'S POV:-
As Alpha Adam left my pack, Anika knelt on the ground and started sobbing again. I was watching her while Alpha Adam was trying to take her back. She was trying hard not to break down in front of him. I looked at Lucas and he nodded his head. He gestured to the others and everyone left the house. I went towards Anika and offered her my hand. She gulped hard and stared at my hand for a few moments. She then took my hand and I helped her up. I took her to the room we had gotten prepared for her in my house.
I made her sit on the bed first. Then I grabbed the jug and filled a glass with cold water. I sat down beside her and gave her the glass. She forced a small smile on her beautiful face and accepted the glass. She drank the whole content in one go. I took the glass and set it on the bedside table. I pulled my handkerchief out of my pocket and wiped her tears.

ANIKA'S POV:-It was the full moon night. According to the tradition they followed, all the wolves were in the forest for hunt. I was kind of all alone. After dinner, I decided to go for a walk. I stepped out of the house and kicked my shoes off. I decided to walk barefoot in the damped grass. The weather was perfect. After walking for a few minutes, I sat down on the ground and looked up. ALPHA CALEB'S POV:-It was obvious that Anika was somehow connected to my Anny. She looked exactly the same as I used to see Anny even after she died. ANIKA'S POV:-I lazily stretched my muscles and snuggled closer to the hard pillow I was hugging. I inhaled the sweet scent that was on that pillow. The scent was so delicious that it started tickling the insides of my stomach. It was really unusual as not even the aroma of my favorite food ever tickled the insides of my stomach. The pillow was hard but the fabric was so soft. I rubbed the tip of my nose with the pillow. Then I rubbed my right cheek with the pillow. It was so warm and smelled so good. ALPHA CALEB'S POV:-As she had asked me, I went back into her room after breakfast. I had already told Lucas to take care of everything. I did not tell him that I had to talk to my mate. ANIKA'S POV:-It had been almost thirteen hours since I had told him the truth. I was not in the position to say or hear anything, so I ran out of my bedroom. CALEB'S POV:-I opened my eyes in the morning and found my chipmunk sleeping so soundly in my arms. As if she had not slept in ages. She was snoring softly. I pecked her forehead and she smiled.
