Dream That Felt Real

Elizah remained by her side the whole night, continuously checking up on her fever. She was hot like a scorching iron, running a high fever. The old woman had already warned him against it. She was fighting a life battle right now, the toxicity in her body was resisting the healing potion. Elizah wrung the piece of cloth before putting it on her forehead. Thankfully, she wasn't shivering anymore.

"Things are going to get better from here on out. We are going to get better," Elizah told her. He could feel it in his bones. Tomorrow was going to be full of happiness and prosperity. That maid Lina was caught shortly after Georgia's demise. Harriet had asked him to let her deal with the witch. Elizah had agreed. Now that he had his Sabrina with him, he didn't care about anyone any longer.
