Chapter 33 – Clarity

When the gifts are ready, he asked her if she wants to go near the lake to unwind. It was a weekend and they both needed to relax, is what he said to convince her. Well, she liked going there so she agreed. Clyde grinned as it’s a rare opportunity for them to be alone. He quickly went to get a basket of food from the pack house kitchen, a picnic mat and the gifts. Alice saw him and he evaded her questioning gaze quite awkwardly. He didn’t stop to be interrogated. He’ll deal with it when he gets back later.

Sab felt a little conflicted. It’s a bit uncomfortable. Since it’s just the two of them, it would seem like a date. She kept reminding herself that they’re just friends now. She shouldn’t dare to assume anything at this point.
