2|Meeting Him

The light cascading through the room woke her up. As usual, the first thing she does after waking up is checking on Abby. Making sure the little girl hasn't wakened up she heave out a sigh of relief. Going back to her room, she freshened up dressing into her work clothes. A smile made it way out of her lips, whenever she remembered her new position, she felt happy inside. Watching her reflection for the last time she descended down finding Mrs. Beatrice and her family on the dining eating breakfast.

"Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Raymond " she greeted them.

"Morning Serena, how was your night?" The woman asked with a smile on her face.

"It was fine, I wanted to ask you if there is anything more to do before Mr. Ethan arrives," she said tight-lipped. The woman stopped on her tracks turning to Serena.

"Nothing more, I sent Max to get some bouquet. You just need to place them in his room when he comes back," she explained.

"Alright Ma'am" she bowed her head a little leaving them to eat their breakfast.

As the woman requested, Serena placed the Bouquet of flowers in his room. Mrs. Beatrice loves her son so much, she always talks about him and now that he's coming back, God knows how happy she is. Even though he doesn't come back home, they still clean his room every two weeks. clearing of voice snapped her out of her thoughts. Stood Lily with a grin on her lips.

"What?" Serena asked furrowing her brows. The girl in question continues grinning.

"Sir Ethan will be home soon in less than 30 minutes. I heard Ma'am talking on the phone with him. Oh my God, I can't wait to meet him" she blabbered. There must be something wrong with the girl Serena thought.

"Are you not supposed to be in the kitchen right now?" She said in her bossy tone, it's time to put her position in action. Lily rolled her eyes.

"This personality doesn't suit you. I know you're also excited to meet him" she said. The glare Serena gave her made her shut her mouth, raising her hands in surrender she reach for the door.

"See ya"

After she left closing the door with a loud thud, Seriously, Lilly has a dirty mind. But she's right, she also can't wait to meet him too.

Serena and Lily were in the kitchen waiting for the arrival of Mrs. Beatrice and her Son, she's glad they took Abby with her, at least she's free for a while. Lily kept glancing at her watch.

"It's almost past the thirty minutes, they should be here by now"

"Seriously Lily, it seems you can't keep calm. You've been glancing at your watch for the thousand times" Lily completely ignored her words and went out of the kitchen. After a while, she came back panting.

"They're here, Serena they're finally here" she squealed hugging Serena.

"Hey back off, don't forget I'm your boss," she said pulling her out of her embrace. Lily pouted before changing back to her grinning self.

"I can't wait for Mrs. Beatrice to call me" before she could finish her sentence, Mrs. Beatrice's voice resonates through their eardrums. Lily breathe in and out readjusting her shirt. Serena watched her as she applied lipstick to her lips.

"Let's go before Mrs. Beatrice throws a tantrum" she dragged Serena away to the living room where Mrs. Beatrice is seated, Abby beside her, and then a guy whose back is facing them. Mrs. Beatrice was about to call them when she felt their presence.

"Serena" she called.

"Yes Ma'am" she answered politely.

"You know what to do right?"

"Yes Ma'am" his back was still facing them, but she knew they will eventually see him as she's the one that is going to serve him food. She disappears back to the kitchen with Lily tailing behind her.  They came back Serena being the one holding the food while Lilly was holding the drinks and delicacies.

Her face was cascaded down as she made her way towards the dinning. She started dishing out the food.

"Serena have you greeted my son," Mrs. Beatrice said.

"Welcome back Sir," she said her face still down. Lily greeted him also. By the tone of her voice, Serena could swear the girl is trying to flirt with him

"Thank you. And what's your name"

"I'm Lily sir," she said with a glint in her voice.

"And you?" he words we're now directed to me.

"I'm-" raising my head, she was met with a pair of beautiful brown eyes. He has that kind of face that makes you speechless. He has curly black hair, with small stubble laid on his jaw, his lips held up in a smile. He's someone you will call handsome.

She felt someone nudge her from the side, which brought her back from her world of thought. His gaze was still fixated on her.

"I'm Serena Sir," she said trying to compose herself.

"She's the woman I'm telling you about, she takes good care of Abby so much."  His mom finally uttered after keeping mute for a while.

"That's good, keep up the good work," he said. The way he watches her made her uncomfortable. Not wasting any more time, she dragged her feet out of the living room. The moment she entered my room, I

what was that just now Serena? you are not the type that stares at a guy for so long. She mentally scold herself for snapping out of it earlier. He's indeed handsome but she wouldn't let that get to her, she's here to work not ogle at some man, she's not like Lily. She Rest up for 10 minutes before going back to the kitchen where she met a grinning Lily.

"What is making you smile?" She asked opening the refrigerator. She has to prepare the desserts, as Mr. Martins always eat when he comes back from the office.

"Didn't you see how handsome he is" she nodded my head not wanting to follow her silliness.

"If you're done with your fantasies, cut these fruits" with that being said, she left the kitchen seeing her smiley face now changed to a frown.

She made my way towards Abby's room, she didn't see her much today, she knew the girl is lonely. She  pushed the door opened colliding with someone and that person is none other than Ethan.

"I'm sorry sir," She said bowing a little.

"It's okay, are you here to check on Abby?" Serena resists the urge to roll her eyes. can't he see it?

"Yes"

"Okay see you later" he walked pass me, his body brushing mine a little. She felt my heart skip a bit. She thought he's going to be a rude man but seeing his expression earlier, Maybe they'll  get along. She hope so.
