Entering the room she was met with Abby playing with her toys, her mind was completely focused on it. Trekking her to where sitting, she crouched down to her level, and the girl's face snaps towards.

"Anty Serena, see uncle Ethan made this for me," the girl said cheerfully showing her one of the toys. So he played with Abby.

"Wow that's good, your uncle Ethan knows how to build the castle" Serena mimic her voice. The girl's smile widens more.

"Yay, when my mummy comes back, I'll show her" suddenly Serena's face fell. The girl still had hope that her mom is coming back. Masking her face with a smile she reaches for the castle.

"Yes, mummy will be very happy. Now let's get you to bed it's already" she hates lying to the girl how long are they going to hide it from her. She has to ask Mrs Beatrice about Abby's mom's whereabouts. Changing Abby's clothes into her pajamas, she made sure the girl peep before laying her down.

"Good night Abby"

"Good night aunt Serena," she said closing her eyes and clutching her baby toy to her chest. Serena left the room closing the door quietly behind her. She let out a sharp breath, she need to have a word with Mrs Beatrice even if she's going to get scold in return. She doesn't like seeing Abby like that. If not because of what happened she would've had a daughter like Abby. Thinking about the past, she was such a fool back then for believing the asshole lies.

She made her way towards Mrs Beatrice room, she knows the woman doesn't sleep so early, so she will get this over with. The curiosity is killing her already. As she walked quietly through the hallway, her shoes making a small sound. She was engrossed in her touch when she felt her head bumped into something hard. Raising her head she was met with a smiling Ethan. Why must she bump into him every time?

"It seems we've been bumping into each other today," he said with a glint in her tone.

"I'm sorry sir, my mind was occupied somewhere" she bowed slightly.

A chuckle made its way out of Ethan's mouth. There is something about her that fascinated him, How she talks calmly and respectful. He took slow steps towards her, with her hand cascaded down she didn't seem to notice the smirk on his lips.

"I'm sorry sir," She said again.

"Can you stop saying sorry for each small mistake and call me Ethan"

"I have to apologize, it's my fault I wasn't watching where I was going" Ethan chuckled finding her words funny. He took a step forward which Serena was caught off guard. She needs to get out of the place as she doesn't want someone to see them.

"You don't have to behave like this towards me. If you're talking to me, feel free, and make yourself comfortable. I'm not going to bite you" She doesn't know why she feels uncomfortable whenever he's around her and besides how can she be comfortable with someone she met in just one day.

"I have to go. Goodnight sir" without waiting for his response she rushed to Mrs. Beatrice's room. Ethan let out a smile watching her disappearing figure. Silly girl. He said out loud.

Serena knocked on Mrs Beatrice door hoping the woman hasn't yet. The door was opened after she stood for two minutes.

"Serena," The woman said, itching her eyes. She must be sleeping.

"I'm sorry for waking you up Ma'am. Can I have five minutes of your time?" The woman stared at her for a while before stepping out closing the door behind her.

"Um..." her palms suddenly feel sweaty. She hopes the woman wouldn't be angry with what she's about to say.

"It's about Abby's Mom" she stated tight lipped fearing the woman's reaction.

"What about her?" Mrs Beatrice asked, her tone different from before.

"Abby had been asking about her Mom and I don't want to keep lying to her that her mom is coming back when I don't even know what happened to her"

"I feel like she needs her Mom by-" the words died down when Mrs Beatrice cut her off.

"Let me ask you something Serena, what is your job in this house?"

"To take care of Abby and-" The woman cut her off again.

"Okay, I want you to do your required job and stop asking questions that doesn't concern you" with that being said the woman turned and entered her room. Serena released a breath she didn't she was holding. Something is definitely wrong. Why is it that anytime she asked about Abby's Mom, the woman will get angry. Watching the closed down for the last time she turned around and left to her room.

Morning came by in a blur. Without wasting any more time, she made her way downstairs where the rest of the staff are working.

"Good morning Ma'am" They greeted her.

"Good morning. Before any of you left for your day off make sure you finish your required work"

"Yes Ma'am," they both said.

"So bossy and professional," Lily said after the rest left.

"You know I've been going easy on you that is why you talk to me however you want right" She needs to change her attitude towards Lily.

"Come on Serena, I've known you before your promotion so no need for any formality." Serena glared at her while taking the fruit out of the refrigerator. After cutting them, she made her way to the living room where Mr Raymond is sitting with his son. Last night events flashed in her mind.

"Good morning Mr Raymond"

"Good morning Sir Ethan" she greeted them both. Mr Raymond offered her a smile while taking the fruit from her outstretched hand. She knew what he wants. One of the things he liked about the girl is how smart she is and how she takes her job serious.

"Are you going home already?" he asked. She goes to her parent's house when it's her day off.

"Yes Mr Raymond"

"Okay, safe trip my regards to your Mom"

"Thank you, sir" She left back to her room taking the required things. It's been a while since she visits her Mom as she was busy lately. After informing Both her employers she left the house. The house is forty minutes drive. She walked quietly through the pavement, with a headphone plugged to her ear. She was about to hail a taxi when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. Turning around, her eyes widen in surprise.
