We take a seat on the podium benches and start to unwrap our lunch when she looks at me excitedly “so has alpha wanker decided we can go to the beach house for the weekend on our famous mate quest or is this a sorry to let you down lunch here’s some flowers for crushing your awesome plans to have some fun.”

“Well I put in a request to alpha wanker he checked his schedule and the asshole said he couldn’t except the request to leave pack grounds”.

Esme opened her mouth to let loose on me until I said “whoa just kidding before I have to catch those hands of yours I’m busy with pack stuff this weekend but next weekend is fine I can organise for Alex to stand in the alpha duties for me while we are away and you can find a replacement to do training for the weekend while we are away don’t know if Alex will willingly give me back my position but hey it will be worth it.”

“That’s why it’s important for us to find our mates while we are away on the weekend maybe then Alex and the council will get off your back about a chosen mate you can’t put it off for much longer!

Do you have anyone in mind for our Luna if you can’t find your fated touch wood.”

I rub the back of my neck awkwardly and tell her “there’s one person I have in mind for my Luna and won’t take anyone else as my Luna.”

She elbows me lightly and has a big grin on her face “sooooo who’s the lucky lady is she in our pack do I know her?”

“Umm well you could say that you do” I stand up to take my leave “anyway I’ve got to get back to the office to sort out who is taking over your duties and training sessions for the weekend we are away.”

I put my hand out for her she takes it and I pull her up. “I will see you later okay.” As I’m walking off she yells out “ it’s marissa isn’t it sampsy wampsy. “ I don’t look back and just flip her the bird!

“Middle finger salute to you too big bad alpha” I grin and make my way back to my office. That’s my girl and I will make sure of it I could love no other the way I love my beloved Esme
