I enter my office building and head to my desk to cross check everyone’s schedules to see who can fill in for Esme. clary has the weekend off that week his her second in charge. Clary was suppose to be my beta like his father was my fathers beta our pack likes to keep old traditions. My parents made me take my younger brother Alexander as beta it wasn’t by choice. I will give him a call and ask him if he will fill in for her. I dial his number it rings 4 times before he answers “youuuuu’ve got clarry what do I owe the pleasure of your time.”

“ So you have next weekend off do you have any plans?”

“Not really I was going to flog off to some playboy mags go to the bar and see what I can pull there why”

good I reply

“why what do you have in mind a boys night I’m up for some shenanigans you need to get laid might find us a Luna down at the club he chuckles.”

“Ewh no the only thing I would be picking up from the bar is a case of the clap.”

“HEY! That was one time I didn’t know she was a pro until the deed was done and she was asking for payment.”

“Oh my goddess how am I friends with you you are sick and twisted.”

“Yeah well anyway I wanted to ask a favour you owe me one can you take over the training regimen for esme that weekend we want to go to the beach house for the weekend.”

“No way buddie not a chance in hell!!!”

“Come on I will pay you well for the weekend.”

“Nope not going to happen if she’s going away with you it’s on mission find mate you need to let her go I love you both we have all been friends since we could walk and talk but she wants her mate and you want her and she doesn’t have a clue.You say I’m sick and twisted but you are the one taking esme away for the weekend just to spend time drooling over her under false pretences you need to let her go and move on and find us our Luna don’t ruin the three amigos cos you can’t keep yourself in check!”

“I don’t know who you think you’re talking to clary it’s only because you’re like a brother to me that I don’t rip your head off your shoulders I’m not the strongest and most ruthless alpha in the country for nothing.”

“Calm ya tits big bad wolf getting butt hurt over the truth hey champ or is it alpha” he says with a laugh.

I let out a growl “we are 22 we haven’t found our mates on our last day their I plan to ask her to be my chosen mate once and for all!”

“THE FUCK YOU ARE like I said you are not ruining the 3 amigo’s what if she says no it will be awkward as fuck you will ruin our friendship and I will get stuck in the middle and I will have to take a side don’t be selfish let this obsession go she is like a sister to both of us!!! “

“You know what I’m the alpha and I’m now telling you that YOU WILL BE COVERING FOR ESME and that’s the end of it.”

“Pfft thanks for the call bye alpha sampson”

I hate talking to him like that he is my best friend but he will always do and say what he thinks is in Esme’s best interest.
