LONG TIME, NO SEE... DARLING

After giving the paparazzi some shots she finally entered the building; maybe the receptionist was already notified that she would be coming so without even needing her to say anything she escorted her to a cabin at the third floor where she was meant to meet someone named as Chen Han. 

The receptionist pushed open a door and said, "Mr. Chen, Miss Qin is here." Qin Yue couldn't see who it was so she didn't know what his natural reactions were. The receptionist received his signal and she allowed Qin Yue to enter the office. Inside were two single seated sofa between which stood a tea table; one seat was occupied by a man in his late twenties. He was lean and tall, one single glance and she immediately recognized him. He was the infamous Assistant Chen who was the personal assistant of the legendary President Lu. President Lu never exposed himself to the world so Chen Han was the one who usually represented him. 

Qin Yue was thrilled as Chen Han was here personally to sign the contract. "Assistant Chen!" She greeted him politely. Chen Han revealed a smile before moving his lips, "Miss Qin, please take your seat." Chen Han was rumored to be extremely professional towards his job so Qin Yue was comfortable with him. She naturally took her seat as he passed her a thick document. He reminded her, "Miss Qin, feel free to go through the contract before signing it. We hope you are happy with it." 

She skimmed through the contract and when she felt that everything was alright she signed the contract. She smiled at Chen Han and handed him the document, he went through a final check up before looking back at her and saying, "Welcome to NC, Miss Qin."  

"Am grateful to NC for taking me in. I promise that I will surely earn a lot for the agency." Qin Yue assured. Chen Han was happy to see her this enthusiastic, he replied, "Am happy to hear this, Miss. No wonder Boss was adamant to poach you."

Qin Yue froze when she heard this; did he just say that the Boss personally scouted her? She was quite surprised, she knew that she was good actress, there was no denying this, but her managing to grab the attention of CEO Lu was something which made her extremely proud. Chen Han stood up and corrected his suit before saying, "Miss, Boss wanted to meet you. Let me take you to him." Wait a minute…What? Mr. Chen, how many more shocks do you have up on your sleeves? It was awesome enough for her realize that the Boss had took a notice on her, what more? He was taking her to meet hi. Qin Yue was really excited to meet him since she wanted to thank him for his help.

But little did she know that her happiness wouldn't last that long. 

She followed him into the lift which stopped at the topmost floor. "Follow me, Miss Qin." Chen Han escorted her to the only room of that floor, her heart started to race up. Strange, why was her heart messing up? It's been a long time since she had experienced this feeling, no one else than that person was capable enough to make her heart race. Her mind alarmed but she dismissed her thoughts and wearing a smile entered the room behind Chen Han. "Mr. Lu!" Chen Han politely greeted, "Miss Qin is here." 

Qin Yue peeped at the direction where Chen Han was facing, that was when she saw a tall figure standing by the ceiling- to- floor window. He had his back facing at them and was wearing a simple white shirt; Qin Yue felt this man so familiar and eventually fell into a daze. The man waved his hand indicating Chen Han to leave which he obediently followed. When the door was shut closed behind her was when she broke out from her daze. 

She quickly composed herself and greeted him, "Mr. Lu." The man didn't move an inch but his cello like voice rang in the empty room, "Long time no see…Darling." 

This voice…Qin Yue tensed up, her palm started to sweat and her mind went into a tempest. Even if she lost her memory then also she would recognize this voice accurately. She was shocked beyond belief; she stood there like a statue when he finally turned to face her. 

His beautiful blue eyes were sharp and his flawless face was revealed to her. This man looked a lot matured than the last time she saw him but what she felt now was not happiness about meeting him after a long time but eternal fear. He smirked to see her stunned and in a cold tone inquired, "What, darling? Not happy to see me?"  As if thousand thunders struck her she felt a bolt of electricity pass through her, her mind went blank and she couldn't believe if what she seeing was true.

He disappeared from her life many years ago and she had not seen him for like Six years but today, he had suddenly appeared before her, she was confused how she was bound to react. Though she knew the world was not that big and she was meant to meet him someday but when the day has come and he is actually standing before her she didn't know what to say. 

Her body froze and she stood there lifeless whereas he seemed to be delighted to see her like this, he let out a soft giggle and took short strides towards the chair destined for the CEO. His piercing gaze didn't move an inch away from her and neither did hers; amidst her shocked eyes he made his way and sat elegantly on the chair. 

Seeing this scene unfold her hands slightly started to shiver and in a trembling voice she finally managed to say.

"Lu…Lu Sheng!"
