Rebecca's POV “Sir, please do you have any change to spare?” I managed to ask a passer-by in a shaky voice. The man didn't even spare me a glance, I could tell from his countenance that he was disgusted by my presence as he spits out disgustingly a few foot's from where I stood. It was late in the night and the streets has been deserted as it was very cold in the height of winter. The street was glittering from the beautiful Christmas decorations that adore every house and shop. It must feel nice to belong to one of those happy families behind closed doors, sharing laughter and the holiday spirit with people who love and genuinely care for you. But here I was roaming the street with the hope of getting something to eat, even a dry bread at this moment would taste like chicken fries. I was alone, hungry, and homeless. My name is Rebecca Sally and I am sixteen years old. I have been homeless for the past nine months. My story is quite a depressing one, it's not your regular story

Rebecca's POV "I do believe anything is possible," Jake said after listening to me talk about my today encounter with the old man who claims the mark on my body was a royal thing. I can't even believe that Jake is buying the story, like what is wrong with everyone. “Like really, how can you believe that bullshit? Well, I am so sorry to burst your bubbles, but I know my dad and mom too well to know that they are both from California USA. Unless of course, you are trying to say my mom cheated on my dad which would be, catastrophic," I said eating the ice cream that Jake had gotten for me as my birthday cake. My mind slowly drifted back to the story of how my parents were separated. I was told that my parents got separated a year after I was born, I was told they were always fighting. My siblings used to blame me for being the reason for their separation. Could it be that my mom cheated? I wondered, but I was quick to push the thought out of my mind, my mom is too decent to cheat on
