Chapter 4

Tracey's POV

At that time, I heard Nathan's voice, "Stay away from my mommy! You big chunk of douchebag!"

I looked down and saw my son kicking Lucas' legs and punching his thighs with his little fists.

"You..." Lucas looked down and picked Nathan up with his giant hands.

Then, he lifted him up to his eye level and stared at him.

Nathan kicked his legs and waved his arms angrily in the air, trying to hit Lucas, but all his efforts were in vain.

Lucas didn't do anything.

He just stood there, holding my son like a cub, staring at him.

Well, even though I didn't want to admit it, the truth was, that Nathan looked just like a miniature version of Lucas.

And of course, Lucas could see it.

But I just didn't want to give it to him that easily.

I snatched Nathan away from Lucas and held him tightly in my arms.

"What... What is his name?" Lucas looked overwhelmed and mumbled.

"His name is Nathan and he isn't your son," I replied while stroking Nathan's hair.

Lucas couldn't take his eyes off Nathan and said, "I need to run a paternity test on him..."

"In your dream!" I said in a cold voice.

Jessica cleared her voice and said, "Come on, Luke. You know Tracey. She's always flirting with other men. She must have slept with a dozen men in the past six years. Maybe she can't even tell who the boy's father is. Just don't give her a big hard time."

That fucking bitch. She has been calling me a slut ever since we were in the same high school!

Now it's time to teach her a lesson!

"On second thought," I said. "I can agree to run a paternity test on Nathan, but only if Jessica kneels in front of everyone and apologizes for calling me a slut."

"You...!" Jessica looked as if she was about to explode.

At that time, I heard Lucas' deciding voice -

"What are you waiting for, Jess? Get on your knees and apologize to Tracey!"

"What?!" Jessica looked shocked and stared at Luas.

Lucas looked impatient, "You've heard me. Kneel and apologize, so I can prove that this boy is my son."

"But Luke..." Jessica said with tears circling in her eyes.

"Do it right now." Lucas insisted.

Jessica looked around and saw people passing by on the busy road as if she was looking for help.

In the end, she had to give in and get on her knees.

"I apologize for calling you a slut." Jessica said in a low voice.

"And for having spread the rumor that I had slept with a football team in high school!" I added.

Jessica cried like a melting candle and said, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spread the rumor. It's all my fault."

"Why would you do something like that?" Lucas frowned and scolded Jessica.

"I was too young and I was jealous of Tracey..." Jessica mumbled. "She was so smart and rich... And she was good at everything."

I gloated.

Fucking bitch! Right on your face! That's what you get when you're stuck with a fucking asshole!

Lucas ignored her and walked straight at me.

"Now, you get what you want. Come with me right now. We're going to do this paternity test today. I can't wait any longer," he said.

"OK," I shrugged and walked into his limo, holding Nathan in my arms.

Jessica thought Lucas would help her to get up, but Lucas walked past her and got into the car, sitting next to me.

Her face looked red and white. And the expression on her face? It was priceless.

In the end, she had to get up by herself and sit in the front, next to the driver.

"Luke..." Jessica said in a low voice. "If this child is tested to be your son... What about us?"

Again, Lucas ignored her.

He stared at Nathan and said to me in a cold voice, "If this child is mine, I will take him away from you. I will hire the best lawyers and get my son's custody. Your father died in a traffic accident, and your uncle took over the company. So now, you're broke. The judge will never give my son's custody to a woman who doesn't have a steady income."

"And if it turns out that Nathan isn't your child, I'll take him away, and you have to promise that you'll never show up in our lives!" I said.

"Deal," Lucas said. "I know my son when I see him."

Nathan looked at Lucas and said, "I don't want you to be my father. I want to stay with mommy. You're so weird. You don't like anyone, and nobody likes you. But my mommy is different. Everyone likes her."

Lucas' face darkened. I knew he wanted to shout at Nathan, but he couldn't do it, because he didn't want to leave him a worse impression.

Nathan continued, "And you can't just take away other people's sons and say it's yours. People will hate you for doing things like this. You should find your own woman and have your own babies. You can't take my mommy away from me. I will be mad at you. And I get really bad when I'm mad."

Lucas looked impressed by Nathan and said, "What are you going to do? Turn into a little Hulk and smash everything?"

"Only stupid people use violence to deal with anger. I don't need to smash anything to make your life miserable," Nathan blinked and said.

"Are you threatening me?" Lucas asked.

"Only the weak take everything as threats," Nathan said.

Lucas looked even more impressed by this six-year-old boy.

He stared at me and asked, "Did you teach him all of this?"

I rolled my eyes and ignored him.

Nathan was born with multiple incredible gifts.

Verbal art was just one of them.

I would never let such a gifted child get ruined by a man like Lucas Plarre.

Five hours later, the result of the paternity test was out.

Lucas took a glance at the report and his face immediately darkened.
