Chapter 23: On Guard
KOVI THOROUGHLY swept his hair back with his fingers, the corner of his eyes twitching non-stop in irritation. He stood there, lips sealed and unmoving amidst the boisterous weather while he was targeted with personal questions his crewmates threw at him, yet not a single word went through his ears.
He didn’t have the slightest interest or will to respond.
After such a long flight, a nice and warm rest at home was all that matters to him right now. This was why as much as possible he avoids indulging himself socially with others.
He despises getting the slightest attention, let alone being surrounded or accompanied by a crowd just as he is now. He breathes, his exhaustion was kicking in.
He wasn’t the type of outgoing person everyone thinks he is as their first impression towards him. Every person he comes across would assume he sleeps in one country after another.
The fact that he had natural dark skin doesn’t make him an adventurous person.<
