Lana walked into the loft and saw the guys were lounging around the living room absorbed in the most recent horror movie. They were so focused that they didn't even notice her walk in.

"The guys" consisted of Clark, Jimmy, Jason, and Evan.

Evan was the only one of them who seemed capable of keeping the loft remotely organized. He worked in entertainment production and somehow managed to keep track of everyone's constantly changing schedules without losing his mind. Lana had always joked that he wasn't their roommate so much as their unpaid manager.

He was also the only one who seemed completely unimpressed by everyone else's antics.

Lana had known him almost as long as she'd known Clark and Jason, and while they weren't as close as she was with the others, she liked him. Evan had a dry sense of humor and a habit of noticing things everyone else missed.

Which was probably why she always felt like she had to be on her best behavior around him.

Jimmy was an actor, but he was also secretly a writer with a pretty big following. He used a psuedo name and no one would guess it was a bulky guy on the other end writing the most Rom-Com stories. Then there was Clark sitting on the right side of the couch his arms crossed, long fingers tapping on his bicep.. Jason and Clark had been friends the longest, home town friends back in Kansas. They had moved out to New York together for college and added Jimmy to their group.

Clark was an IT genius. He had started a small tech company fresh out of college and he was currently one of the most eligible bachelors in the city. The gathering would be bizzare to an outsider without context.

Lana made her way to the kitchen to set down the food she bought on the counter. Most of the time they never noticed when she showed up since she had a spare key to the place. Not to mention she was light on her feet. She practically moved like a ghost.

Lana walked quietly back into the living room and placed her hand on Jason's shoulder. She felt him tense under her fingers before he yelped and jumped off the couch.

"Ohh Lana! When did you get here?" Jimmy asked surprised to see her there.

"What happened?" Clark smirked eyeing Jason as he clutched his chest.

"Jesus baby you scared the life out of me." Jason huffed annoyed.

"Well how else was i supposed to let you know I'm here?" Lana held up her hands innocently."I come bearing salty gifts."

After half an hour of everyone eating and joking around it was time for Jason to leave for his studio session.

He said his goodbyes to the guys and walked hand and hand with Lana to his room. She laid on her stomach on his bed and rested her head on her arms. Watching him go back and forth to find what he needed to leave. He took off his shirt and changed into a new one. Looking in the mirror to make sure his hair looked ok.

"What time are you going to be done?" She asked as he messed with his hair.

"Around 2AM..." He responded absent mindedly. Lana sighed heavily. They barely got to see each other. And he was always over working himself. She wished he would just take a day off to just relax. Preferably with her. It was almost like she saw more of him when they were just friends.

He put on one of his hat and walked out of the room without saying anything else to her. Lana laid there for a few more minutes. Until she heard the front door slam shut. Signaling that he had left without saying goodbye. She sighed again and stood up to go back to the living room. Sometimes he really wasn't the best boyfriend.

Dragging her feet the whole way there, she sank down next to Jason and crossed her arms pouting at the tv. The boys had finished eating and were back to watching another movie. Blood splattered across the screen and a blond girl screamed dramatically.

Clark kept glancing sending her sideway glances. "What's wrong?" He asked nudging her with his shoulder.

"Nothing.." She pouted more over exaggerating her facial expression. She looked over at him with sad puppy eyes.

"Ok~ I'll get you ice cream. Come one

." He groaned.

"Ohhh you're the best!" She jumped off the couch clapping her hands happily. Lana practically skipped to the door, her mood having done a complete 180. This happened often when she was left alone. Clark would always take her to get ice cream to cheer her up. Not being able to bare a sad expression on her face.

They walked to an ice cream parlor that was two blocks away from the dorm. Before they left, Clark had made sure to wear a hoody and face mask as disguise. Even if it was dark outside they never knew when some fan would recognize them. It was better to be on the safe side.

Lana also wore a hoody. He kept stealing glances at her as they walked side by side. She was staring at the sky barely paying attention to where she was walking. He remembered when he first saw her. His heart had stopped beating. When her eyes made contact with his he swore he would make her his one day. He never though Jason would beat him to it.

With a heavy sigh he continued to walk next to her. Wondering when he would get his chance. They both got chocolate ice cream cones, his treat, and headed back to the dorm. They walked half way in silence just eating their ice cream. He couldn't help but look at her ever few seconds. Her expression was always the best when eating ice cream.

"Can I ask you something?" She suddenly asked him as they reached the loft.

"What is it?" Clark stopped in front of the door and looked at her questioningly.

"Why don't you ever go on dates?" Lana tilted her head looking at him with her forehead wrinkled. Like she was trying to figure out a hard math problem.

"I don't have time for that kind of thing." He sighed reaching for the door knob.

"Oh come on. That's a lame reason." She huffed crossing her arms. "If you just meet my friend Sora I'm sure you'll change your mind."

"I told you before. I don't want you to set me up with you friends." He responded annoyed.

"But.."

"Lana, just drop it. I'm not in the mood to have this conversation again." Jason sighed tiredly.

"Fine...I'll stop for now." She conceded.

"Great." He muttered opening the door.

They walked inside and joined the others in game night. Lana decided to spend the night. Not feeling like going back to her empty apartment in the middle of the night. Borrowing one of Jason's over-sized shirts she settled into his bed. Cuddling with his pillow.

Lana had barely slept a wink. She had just layed there staring at Jason as he slept. She couldn't bare to refuse him when he begged to stay and the glimpse of violence had made her heart race in a terrifying way. Perhaps it was the guilt that made her feel like she owed him that much. She couldn't leave him yet, she would just have to give him time to process. She traced her finger lightly over his eye brow, his nose, his lips. He looked so peacful when he was a sleep. If she told him what she did he would probably hate her, but more importantly he would hate Clark. She couldn't stand the thought of causing a rift between them. She could never understand when she heard about people betraying their friends. Now that she was in those shoes she had a bit more clarity. "If you watch me while I'm asleep I might get a funny idea." He suddenly spoke making her jolt. "How long have you been awake for?" She asked feeling embarassed, he opened his eyes and smirked at her. "Why? Did you

  • How to Love   10. Holding On

Lana woke up startled by the sound of someone banging on her door. She groaned and pulled the blanket over her head, hoping whoever it was would eventually give up. When the knocking continued for another five minutes she reluctantly got out of bed. Picking up her phone she checked the time as she sluggishly walked toward the door. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes as her stomach growled loudly. She had slept almost the entire day and hadn't eaten anything yet. All she wanted was to get rid of whoever was incessantly knocking on her door this late at night. "I'm coming already!" She yelled frustrated as she swung the door open. Her annoyance was immediately replaced with shock. Of all the people in the world she wanted to avoid right now, the one person she wanted to see the least was standing right in front of her. Jason. She stared at him for a moment before looking away, not wanting to meet his eyes. Neither of them said anything. A minute seemed to pass as they simply stood

  • How to Love   9. His Habit

The door slammed shut behind Lana. Clark stood motionless in the hallway, staring at it. For a few seconds, he didn't move. He could still smell her. Her scent lingered everywhere-in his room, on his clothes, against his skin. It was stronger than it had ever been before. The connection beneath his skin seemed to pulse with every beat of his heart, reminding him that something between them had permanently changed. He touched his chest imagining that be could feel the invisible string that flowed out to train after Lana. A slow smile tugged at his lips. She was his mate. His wolf had known it long before he did and soon Lana would start feeling the pull. Even if she couldn't name the feeling. Now she carried his mark. Clark knew he should feel guilty for doing it without explaining. But the intensity of finally being with her made him loose control over his wolf and he surged forward in that moment to fulfill the claiming. Instead, he felt strangely calm. He had spent yea

  • How to Love   8. Morning After

Lana woke up feeling sluggish and achy, she felt sore from her neck straught to her toes. Groaning she tried to stretch only to find she couldn't move. An arm was thrown over her waist holding her against a warm body. For a moment she thought it was Jason, until she realized that they were both naked. Her sleep clouded mind snapped into attention, she gasped and tried to move away. Finally remembering what happened the night before and who exactly was holding her. She was being held against Clark's chest, locked in place. She had barely moved an inch when he pulled her closer to his body. Pressing his face into her hair and rubbing himself against her. She started to squirm and away enough to get a glimpse of his face. She sighed in slight relief when she realized he was still sleeping. She couldn't help but blush when she felt something hard pressing against her back. Sleeping he looked so much younger and vulnerable, his hair falling onto his face in a messy heap. Lana light

  • How to Love   7. Fiction and Fact

Jason decided to go back to the loft early to spend some time with Lana. He'd stay out later but this time he was to curious to see if his plan went off without a hitch. Knowing Clark's stubborness , it probably hadn't been easy for Lana to pull off. He unlocked the door and stepped into the dark entrance. He kicked off his shoes and started to look for her. After checking the kitchen and finding it empty he headed towards his room. But what he saw infront of him made him freeze in place. Clark had pushed Lana into his room, his eyes glanced toward Jason and they held contact for less then 5 seconds. Clark quickly entered his room and slammed the door, locking it. Jason slowly walked towards Clark's room, stopping infront of the door. His fists were clenched as he listened to them arguing and then silence before moaning started to sound. He made no move to stop them. Jason was shocked that his interference would lead to this. Any normal boyfriend would have broken down the door an

Clark couldn't help the smirk that spread across his face. Knowing that she had let down her defense and gave into him. He kissed down her neck, nipping at her collar bone before moving lower. He kissed the swell of her breasts. Licking around her left nipple before suddenly sucking it roughly into his mouth. He grazed his teeth against the stiff peak, while he fondled her right breast. Lana gasped when he abruptly pinched her nipple, sending a shock of electricity through her body. Her hips lifted off the bed, making her arch against his. She breathed raggedly as he played with her breasts. All the guilt and fear she had was now replaced with lust. Even if she had the strength she wouldn't stop him now. The heat of his mouth on her flesh was driving her crazy. Making her forget how wrong it was and making her forget about Jason. She started grinding her hips against his. He growled against her chest and pressed harder onto her. The pleasure he was making her feel had her panting. H
