3. Punishment

Emily's POV

Half an hour later, the welcome ceremony officially began. But the principal and the man didn't show up.

I was also distracted. "Should I reach out to him to apologize?" As I was thinking this, my phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number.

"Miss Spate, this is Oscar, the principal of Shealther College. Please come out now." It was a command, not a question. I was shocked that this matter, which was not too big to me, should cause the attention of the principal and that he had to find my phone number to contact me.

I hung up the phone and looked around to find everyone listening intently to the man on stage. I carefully stood up, jogged to the door, and then gently closed the door behind me. Turning around, I found the principal waiting for me not far away.

I walked up to him and he said softly, "Emily, I'm sorry we have to meet in this way. You did something wrong this morning, but I'm sure you didn't mean to do it. You must be a good girl for taking two years off from school to earn money for college." I was getting nervous, probably because the principal seemed to have investigated me. I guess he might even have informed the man of my past.

He continued, "But that man," he paused abruptly, leaned a little toward me, and then lowered his voice and said, "is actually the son of the founder of our school, which means that he owns the school."

My pupils dilated and I looked at him in shock. He put his index finger between his lips, meaning to keep it a secret. I nodded my head.

"So, for you to get better in school, I think it's best that you explain and apologize to Johnathan personally. Although he is angry now, I believe he will accept your apology."

I immediately replied, "Yes, I'm willing to do that. It was my fault in the first place. I was in too much of a hurry because I didn't want to be late on the first day. Where is he now?"

Oscar seemed to be a very nice person, and he gave me sincere advice. "Follow me."

He led me through several academic buildings to the administration building. oscar and I got on the elevator and went straight to the topmost floor. It was the principal's office, a clean and simple but very large room. The entire room was painted blue and gray, giving it a calm, wise feel. This fits Oscar's image perfectly.

I felt reassured by Oscar's company until he sat in the principal's chair and turned to stare at me with a facial expression. It was him.

"Mr. Katia, I've brought her here."  Oscar said to him. "So if I may, I'd like to go back to presiding over the meeting." Oscar bowed to him and went out and closed the door.

The whole room was dead silent. I could even hear my heart beating. We stared at each other for about a minute, and although he kept his face expressionless, I felt a chill come up from my back.

I lowered my head, my eyes not looking at him. "Sorry, I was in a hurry this morning and accidentally spilled coffee on you."

After what felt like centuries, a low male voice came from the front: "Is that all?" It was strange that I decided he sounded good under the circumstances.

I nodded my head and said, "Yes. I didn't mean to. I just didn't want to be late for my first day of school. "

"You just ruined one of my new Gucci jackets. That's okay. But I'm actually here on vacation, and the coffee you spilled ruined my day, and it's my first day of vacation. Clothes have a price, but my mood is priceless. "

"So what can I do to return your pleasant mood for the day? " I looked up, my eyes fixed on him. He had nice eyes, just like mine.

He smiled suddenly, but I could tell it wasn't the happy kind; instead, it was mocking. "What do you think you can do to make me happy? " he asked me back.

I froze, "I don't know you, how do I know what you like? " I thought to myself.

"I like punishment," he said to me.

I looked at him in surprise, my eyes widening. Could he be a mind reader? Or was it just a coincidence?

Before I had a chance to ask, he then said, "I'm happy to see people being punished. Oh, he must be crazy, isn't he?

I whispered: "How do you want to punish me? "

He suddenly stood up and walked over to me. He was so close that I could smell the faint scent of sage and English pear on him. For a moment I wondered what brand of perfume he was wearing.

He bent down and his tall, straight nose was about to touch mine, so I instinctively took a step back. He looked me in the eye and said, "I've got a great idea. Why don't you get down on your knees in front of the whole school and apologize, call yourself a fool, and then take a cup of hot coffee and pour it over your head? I think I'd be happy to see that. "

I was so angry when I heard that he did this to make me lose face in front of the whole school and to let everyone know the stupid things I did. To make everyone remember me as nothing but bad.

I felt aggravated because all I wanted was to take my studies seriously and then qualify for a scholarship. Get through these four years and then become a fashion designer. I think such an ugly thing was not conducive to my applying for the scholarship.

"Is there any other option" he didn't say anything, and I continued to add, "I can do your homework and meals and run errands for you in class. I'll try to do whatever you want, as long as it makes you happy. "

"I do not need it actually. But it sounds interesting to me now," He gave a sly smile.  "I will promise you. "

I finally felt relieved.

"Be my servant for a month."

The smile on my face disappeared.

Hell no!
