30. A Real Date

Johnathan's POV

When I heard Emily say that she didn't know her favorite recreational activity because she was too busy growing up, I felt my heart pump hard, as if something had hit me. I realized how much hardship and poverty my Luna had faced growing up. I felt the need to make up for her childhood regrets.

After we showered and dressed, I took her to The Cris' Café, which she said she had never been to. As the owner of the property, sooner or later she had to go and check out the environment.

To keep her out of the sun, I had a custom umbrella made for her with 100% UV protection and Emily's name engraved on it. I walked downstairs with her under the umbrella and Philip was already at the door in my Rolls Royce. I walked her to the back seat and I sat next to her.

"Where are we going?" Emily asked me.

"A place that belongs to you but you haven't been there yet. You'll like it."

"Okay, then I won't ask you for the answer. I like your sense of mystery."
