Chris arrived at the arranged meeting place. Jackson was already waiting, with a box in hand, containing the suit and sheaths used in the demonstration.
“Well, today’s the day. Are you nervous at all, Chris?” Jackson asked.
“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t,” Chris answered.
“That’s expected. It’s our first time meeting anyone from the rest of the world. For a month we’ve been confined to these walls. And for the first time, we’re breaking free.”

This has been a story that has been five years in the making. This went from a five page 2000 word document that I wrote with the help of a few friends the a well over 40,000 word novel. At this point, I don't have anymore of the story written out. This is due to a career change that takes up most of my time. I hope to continue writing this story and I'm even thinking of a possible sequel, however the process will be much slower than planned.
