Twenty One.

Lana’s POV

I had begged, cried, pleaded with him. The answer was always no. I just needed to see if my sister was safe. I just needed to know that they hadn’t hurt her.

“Why are you even doing this?” I snap at him

“Why won’t you accept my rejection?” He fires back at me.

It was the same argument we had been having for days. He kept me a prisoner in his room. Though he was respectful and never tried anything. Unlike nearly every male wolf I had come across.

“Just eat if you are not going to answer me,” he rolls his eyes at me and turns his back. “Besides, I already know why. You know that mark is what is keeping you alive. Ironic really when you were ready to die at the hands of my mother.”

I stared at the plate on the desk. Different types of sandwiches had been made up and I still hadn’t touched one. It takes me a moment to realise he had been rooting around in my mind again.

“That’s why I’m here. You’re starting to feel sorry for me now.”

“I don’t feel sorry for anyone.”

“Pfft!” I f
