Lana’s POV“Will you stop meddling! This is your sister’s day!” My mom shouts at me for the third time today. It was no different to any other day. They always preferred Abby. At least this time I wasn’t being hit.“I’m sorry, okay, but I need to talk to you!” She glares at me with those bright blue eyes of hers.“What a surprise?! Can you not let your sister enjoy her day without making it about you!” She scolds me again as she hurries about putting the decorations up. The problem was it was never about me. They didn’t give a shit about me and it had been this way since they adopted me. Abby and I came as a pair. We were not biological sisters but we had been inseparable in the orphanage and she had taken me under her wing. Our parents weren’t allowed to adopt her without me, so they took me too. It would have been better if they had left me behind.“But mom, please you need to listen!”Her hand finally reaches out and strikes my face. I don’t know why I expected anything different

Lana’s POVIt's been a year since the incident. The voice! Saying he is Logan and he is my mate, he never linked me again. It’s weird, but I soon pushed the thoughts out of my head as I started a new beginning.New city and new apartment and I could smell their stench before I opened my door. Why the hell did they have to smell so vile and why were there so many in my apartment block? This was not what I had signed up for when I moved here.“Shitty wolves!” I mutter to myself.Knocking back some painkillers. I quickly guzzle some water in the hopes that it would prevent a headache from starting. It already felt like it was going to be a long day and I hadn’t even left my apartment.Groaning, I grab my bag and lock the door. Quickly making my way to the elevator. Hoping and praying that I wouldn’t bump into one of them. The last thing I needed is to stink like a wolf all day. It was bad enough it took me hours to get the stench off me last night, it’s like it just clings to me. Yet I n

Lana’s POVAbby stays with me until we pull up in front of the large hotel. There must easily be five hundred rooms in this place. Everything from the outside was glass and I don’t really remember seeing this place before, but then Abby and I hadn’t been in town for long.“Wow, fancy!” Abby mutters as she climbs out the passenger door.“Yeah and I can already smell them!”“I think there must be something wrong with your nose. It’s really not that bad!” Abby shrugs her shoulders at me before wishing me luck and waving me off.My boots click clack along the marbled floor as I make my way to the front desk and ask to see Logan Lonecrown. I was just grateful that the receptionist was human. Hopefully a sign that this Logan person was too.“Ah, you must be Miss Decker. Mr Lonecrown is unavailable right now”I roll my eyes, it wasn’t the first time this meeting had been rearranged. I knew what was about to happen. She was going to give me a load of shit about making it up to me.“But Mr Set

Lana’s POVI had heard him. He knew we were there. That same voice from before. It had made my body vibrate as he screamed into my head. We may have taken it too far this time. I think we have pissed off the wrong wolf. How did he know it was me and why did he choose that moment to shout at me?“Here!” Abby hands a glass of wine to me. The twins had been young, probably the youngest I had ever killed. I still hadn’t told her about the voice. I needed more information before I told her.“Why don’t you stay here tonight? There are no wolves and we can plan the next step. Plus you seem a little bothered.” She tilts her head as she watches me.“They were so young.” I mutter“It’s another step closer to the Alpha!”“It doesn’t bother you that they were practically children?”She takes a huge swig of wine and doesn’t answer my question. So I decide not to push it. Abby was older than me and she quite often knew better.“Can I at least shower?” I ask“You know where it is.” She knocks back

Lana’s POV “Mr Norman, what are you doing here?” I quickly slip the blade up my sleeve as I stared at him in surprise. Why had he broken into my home? What reason did he have to be here? “Please, call me Seth,” he stands with a smile and hands me a glass, it was full with a brown liquid. Whisky. I’m not stupid, I wasn’t going to touch a single drop. Placing the glass down, I see him suck in his cheeks, he had put something in it! “That still doesn’t tell me why you are in my home!” His hazel eyes run over me as I stand my ground. “Please sit. I wanted to make sure you were okay. You seemed a little out of sorts.” “I’m not the one who is out of sorts. I haven’t broken into someone’s home!” I feel like I have every right to be defensive. This was my home and I had not invited him in. “You’ve been crying, anything I can help you with?” He takes a long swig of the whisky in his glass. Ignoring his comment, I ask him again. “Why are you in my home?” my fingers sat tightly around the
