Chapter Seventeen: Claims

When Dansk arrived at his house, he heard Zander's call, which worried him a bit, because he knew that somehow Zander had already found out about the incident with Daniel. He preferred not to enter his house and go directly to meet him, but before leaving, a boy with a strange cut came up to him.

“Yes, I know,” he said to the boy without waiting for him to speak to him.

An hour later he was at Zander Udimov's house. Zander was in the library, and he received him seated behind the desk, an oak one that Dansk had seen hundreds of times. As always, the windows were closed and covered with two thick silk curtains to keep out as much light as possible. Even so, the room was not in darkness.

“I suppose you've heard about the incident with four of us by now,” Dansk told him before Zander spoke to him.

“And with the wolves,” Zander said. “An incident I'm told you witnessed and did nothing. But it didn't bother me that you
