Chapter Sixteen: Looking for More Evidence

Detectives Mark Forney and Doris Ventura were rechecking the alleyway where the vampires were brutally eliminated. Coroner Perkins had already collected all the evidence possible on the case but they did not want anything to be missed. They had checked the identities of the dead vampires and had gone to each one's home, but once there the residents told them they did not know any of them, so they concluded that the driver's licenses were fake. Very good fakes.

So they still had nothing.

They checked the alley from end to end but what happened was near the north entrance, in the middle of it there was no trace of blood. Although there were shops nearby, none of them had security cameras that offered a clear view of the north entrance, so they went to the south entrance and just across the street they found a pawn shop that had a camera pointed at the street. They went there and spoke to the manager, who had no problem providing them with the security video.
