"Why has it suddenly gone quiet here? It was quite noisy when I walked in." Isabelle said ignoring the deathly glare Mia was throwing her way.

She fluttered her perfectly straightened hair behind her shoulders, taking the plate from the place.

She dug in without sparing as much as a glance towards Aiden who was gaping at her, displeasure on his face.

Claire shifted uneasily n her seat as the awkwardness grew with each passing second.

Alexander rested his hands on her thigh under the table. She looked towards them and found his eyes pleading with her about the situation.

Alexander looked at Isabelle pretending to be engrossed in her food. He knew she meant nothing but trouble especially since he no longer held an interest in her.
