I must have fallen asleep after I sat back against the wall watching her sleep. In the next moment my eyes shot up as if an energy yanked at my soul, I instantly saw her sitting straight up with her yellow eyes pinned on mine. Her gaze was concentrated, deliberate, concerned and confused all at once. And all those emotions were directed straight at me as her eyes pierced my own. We sat like that for a while not saying a word, when eventually a thought must have gone through her mind as she sighed with her eyes were drawn down toward the rug as she idly sat staring at her hands clutching onto the fur,

“It wasn’t a dream was it?” Still staring at her with concern on my face I merely shook my head,

“No,” Nodding she frowned as she closed her eyes,

“I shifted,”
