Turns out where Nicholas wanted me to go with him was to his house. Today was his mother, Grace's birthday and I wished he had told me earlier so I could have gotten her a gift or Esmerelda. ABIGAILIt was almost evening when Gavin showed up. We decided to have our food outside in the garden. We had decorated the garden before Gavin showed up. We had brought out some flowers to put on the table to make it pretty. Next we had decorated the whole garden with string bulbs. It was very beautiful. Gavin was a man in his mid forties. Nicholas didn't come home and we didn't know where he went either. I tried calling him several times but he didn't pick and soon I was directed to the voicemail. NICHOLAS (Age 16, 4 years ago) The picture frame of our family that hung on the wall fell down the floor with a loud crash that caused the glass to shatter and scatter across the floor where my mom laid, her arms curled protectively against her middle as she cried. Her nose was broken, I could tell from the way the blood was gushing out. She had several cuts all over her face and lips. I looked up to see the figure that loomed over her, breathing heavily as he towered above my mom's small frame, the man that is my father, Jack. "Where is it?" He yelled angrily as he stared down at my mom, "Where's it Grace?" My mom let out a whimper as she shook her head, "I told you, we...we don't have it!" That was a wrong answer because Jack kicked my mom right in the middle and she let out a painful moan but tried to get away from him. I glared at the man from where I was sitting on the floor in the living room with my hands clamped tightly against my three year old sister, Esmeralda's ears.

Taylor's swift voice singing to 'Welcome to New York' blared from my headphones as I stood in front of the University, New York University! I finally made it! The school of my dreams! I've waited so long to get my application from NYU, it was so bad I'd wake up around midnight to check my email and see if I had gotten an admission letter. After waiting for weeks, I later saw that I had been accepted to study literary studies in NYU much to my parents happiness and now I'm finally here. I wheeled my suitcase to my apartment in St George Clark hall. I met a couple of first year students like me in the hallway. Some of them smiled at me and I returned it, others focused on moving their stuff into their apartment and some even came with their parents. I smiled wistfully at a student whose mom was fussing over and asking if she packed some extra blankets because of the cold. She was here! Abigail Howard! I'd recognize her anywhere, those green eyes of hers, her smile, the sound of her laugh! I couldn't believe that she was right here in my house. The moment she entered the house and began dancing was when I saw her. I was in the kitchen watching her dance with her friends, or at least I hope one of them was. Looking at her from the kitchen everything about her seems different.
