Third-Person Point of View

Though Riley was too busy to notice how Eash was intentionally provoking Ezra, she couldn't remain oblivious to it for long.

Riley understood that Eash was deliberately trying to distract her by touching her, which also provoked Ezra. Knowing how Eash felt about Ezra, Riley didn't want to say anything to Eash that could hurt his feelings, but they were working on a group project together. Two other people were with them, so they couldn't use this situation to fulfil their private agendas.

Riley leaned towards Eash and whispered gently, "Eash, I know you don't like sitting in front of him. But please let me focus on this first. Then we can quickly leave..."

Eash pouted at her and looked away, but he didn't really listen to her. He just kept doing what he wanted, even when Riley shot him an angry look. It seemed like he was determined to use this opportunity to provoke his brother. Although Ezra tried not to let Eash's childish behaviour affect him, he sometim

Third Person Point of ViewEven though seeing such a primal, lustful expression in other people's eyes made Riley feel disgusted and afraid, seeing the exact same look in Eash's eyes felt different."Eash..." Riley whispered, her whole body beginning to tremble with an unknown sensation.Eash's hands cupped Riley's face, his thumb gently brushing her blushed cheeks as if he was caressing a fragile rose petal. They were so close that their breaths caressed each other's faces. Then, with a quiet sigh, Eash closed the distance between their lips. The kiss was softer than Riley expected. Eash's lips were warm and gentle, as if he were scared he might be too rough and hurt her. But that gentleness didn't last long. As Riley melted into him, her fingers clutching his shirt tightly, his fear of hurting her seemed to vanish. His arms embraced Riley's tiny waist tightly, pulling her as close as possible to him, and the kiss deepened, slow, deliberate, and unbearably sweet. This was not the fir

Third Person Point of View"Can I ask you something?" Riley looked at Eash."Yeah..." Eash said."It must be hard for you to endure it. It's actually torture! So why don't you see those girls now?" Riley asked with an aching heart. She didn't want Eash to get closer to any other girl, but she didn't want him to suffer either."I don't know..." Eash said."What?""I actually don't know why I don't want to get help from one of those girls now. It's easy and comfortable." Eash shrugged."Maybe it's because I'm closer to you now." Then Eash stated."What?" How could you not want to sleep with those girls just because you're closer to me? Even though I'm closer to you than anyone else, we have no physical relationship that could fulfil your desires. For a moment, Riley honestly felt that if Eash ever wanted a physical relationship with her, she might agree. There was nothing she wouldn't give him, nothing she wouldn't do for him. He was the man who had remained in her heart all these years

Third-Person Point of View"Why are you looking at me like that?" Eash asked as Riley, who was drowning in her own thoughts, stared at him.Riley shook her head to say it was nothing."Was it because I talked about those girls?" Eash winked at her playfully.Riley smiled. Then her mind involuntarily drifted back to the day she witnessed a girl from her high school giving Eash a blow* job. Their ragged breaths, their moans, began to play again in her mind, making the smile on her face fade away. Even back then, witnessing such a thing related to Eash made Riley completely heartbroken. But now, when Eash had already declared she was the closest to his heart, even thinking that Eash would engage in such an act, or worse, even more than that, with another woman, Riley totally lost her mind.Since she became closer to Eash, Riley tried her best not to think about Eash's relationships with other women. Even thinking about that was extremely painful. But now, when he was talking about those

Third-Person Point of View"What?" Riley asked, surprised."I don't even believe in the mate bond..." Eash said casually. Riley stared at him. This was the second time she heard an Alpha say he didn't believe in the mate bond."My parents had the sacred mate bond; they loved each other crazily. But my mom passed away too soon, leaving my father in total agony. He barely survived her death. If I hadn't been there with him during that time, he might have even committed suicide. Having a mate is wonderful, but at the same time, it's a painful experience. I think it's better not to have one," Eash said."Really? You feel that way..." Riley didn't know whether to be happy because then she wouldn't have to leave him one day or if she should be sad because he didn't believe in such a sacred thing."Yeah... That way, life is much easier. I can be with anyone I want... I have the freedom to do what I want," Eash said."But you'll have to marry one day. You are going to lead a pack. Your pack n

Third-Person Point of ViewRiley's mind was filled with guilt after giving him the reply he wanted to hear. She had always been honest, no matter how hard life had been. She never lied to get any benefits from anyone. But here she was, telling something she didn't believe, just because she was afraid to lose the person she loved the most. However, despite the guilt in Riley's mind, Eash's face lit up with a charming smile. He seemed genuinely happy about the reply he received."See, even you can understand he isn't telling the truth," Eash said happily."There was no one who held him from returning. He didn't come simply because he hates me and our father. Now he is here. I guess he came because my mother's relatives wanted him to come here and cause trouble in our peaceful lives. Anyway, my father is delighted to have him here. He can't understand what Ezra is really up to.""Your mother's relatives and your father—there is a conflict between them?""Yeah… A big one. My father and mo

Third-Person Point of ViewAs expected, Ezra didn't reply to what Riley said. He just stared at her for a few seconds and then drove away. However, Riley was able to see how his emotionless eyes changed for a fraction of a second.Without lingering there any longer, Riley hurried to the store. The owner was furious because she was late. After apologising multiple times, Riley was able to send him home. She had to restock some of the goods that evening and got busy with her work. So, she couldn't contact Eash as she wanted to. She really wanted to call him, but didn't want to delay her job and get scolded by the store owner again. Still, even when she was working, her mind was totally occupied by the Cunningham brothers. When it was around 9, Riley was still taking the stock count when she heard the door open. Thinking it must be a customer, she stood up and greeted him."Good evening and welcome..." She sounded cheerful despite all the turmoil in her heart. But when she saw who entere
