Chapter 5: The Journey Begins

Three days went by in the blink of an eye.

Until Ella had to officially leave, the Duke and wife still couldn't believe that they were about to leave their daughter.

Ella looked at the towering piles of luggage around her. She let out an exasperated sigh.

"Mom, I don't need that many things." Ella writes in her notebook.

The Duchess wiped her tears with a handkerchief.

Her voice was slightly choked: "Why not? The things here are all necessary for you.”

Ella clamored.

The little girl couldn't say no in her heart. She don't want to have to carry all this huge luggage.

Look at the small suitcase next to her feet. Ella felt that was more than enough.

But she didn't want to say anything to upset the duchess.

Ella came to her mother's side, holding her hand tightly. Duke Hesing stood behind the his wife and his daughter. He spread his arms around the two of them.

“You have to live a good life. Whenever you want to go home, come back here.”

When the Duke's family was filled with emotions. A whirlwind suddenly appeared in front of them.

The vortex grew bigger and bigger, but it never blew away any objects in the room.

It was a whirlwind of magic.

As soon as the wind stopped blowing, a handsome young man stepped out from the center of the whirlwind.

Still keeping the bright smile on his lips like the first day we met. Samuel brushed off non-existent dust from his silver robe and bowed.

“Nice to meet you all again. Do you guys remember me?"

Uninvited people come. Always disrupt family emotional moments.

“Archmage Samuel Kime arrived just in time.” Duke Hesing gritted his teeth and said.

The duke and his wife's expressions did not have the 'nostalgia' that Samuel spoke of.

Although respecting Ella's will. Honestly, they still hate Samuel for stealing their precious daughter.

"Master!" Ella smiled.

The girl greeted her teacher with endless joy.

Samuel walked step by step in front of Ella, he asked: "Are you ready?"

The girl nodded.

“Looks like your luggage is a bit too much? Are you sure you can carry it all?” Samuel asked.

When he saw the piles of luggage behind Ella. He was very surprised.

How could his little princess carry all this luggage on her own?

Ella quickly shook her head. Quickly write in the notebook.

“No, just one suitcase is enough.”

Samuel patted her head to show it was okay. The one who prepared these must be the Duke and his wife.

Although Samuel had signed a soul contract with Ella, it was still not possible for the Duke and wife to be completely at ease.

They worry that he won't take good care of Ella. So prepare everything carefully.

“If you want, I will help you carry them all away. With a snap of your fingers, everything will be solved.” Samuel tilted his head to look at the girl.

Before Ella could refuse, Samuel carried out his word.

"Cup!"

As soon as the snap ended, all the suitcases were gone. Not leaving any traces to prove that they exist.

"Come on, let's go!" Samuel stretched out his hand towards Ella.

The little girl turned her head to look at her parents one last time. Only then did he approach Samuel in the duke and his wife's regret.

Her hand was on his.

As Ella stood beside Samuel, the whirlwind rose once more.

And just like when he appeared, they didn't hurt anything.

Ella could feel a great source of magical power swirling around her.

Teleportation magic requires a lot of magic power and requires precise control.

Yet how gently Samuel can control everything.

“Is this the Archmage’s ability?” Ella thought to herself.

The wind appeared more and more, swirling around the two like a fierce storm.

The figure of the Duke and wife gradually faded.

The Duchess' last words still rang out clearly. Her voice was blurred with tears falling from her eyes.

“Let’s write letters home often!”

And she nodded to her mother before disappearing into the whirlwind.

As soon as her daughter disappeared, the Duchess immediately collapsed.

Fortunately, the Duke quickly caught his wife, saying: "The child will be fine!"

The whirlwind carried the two of them to an open field on a hill not far from Duke Hesing's mansion.

Ella curiously looked around, feeling a bit strange: “Are you here? Is it that fast?”

But the familiar mansion over there told her what she thought was wrong.

They didn't go very far.

Samuel was looked at by Ella with eyes filled with suspicion, he scratched his head again.

"Gabriella, I forgot to ask where you want to go?"

It seemed that he had no prior plan for this journey.

Exactly as described in the original.

Samuel is a liberal who loves freedom. Therefore, he rarely lived in one place for too long.

Samuel's whereabouts have always been a mystery to everyone. It was difficult for Duke Hesing to find Samuel.

As soon as Samuel asked Ella, he immediately patted his forehead in self-blame.

Gabriella is a princess brought up to be closed. How could such a child know so many places on the Lani continent?

Asking her where she wants to go has already given her a hard time!

So Samuel changed his way of asking: “What kind of place do you want to go to? Can you describe it to master?"

Ella looked at her master in disbelief. Her gaze made Samuel feel a little uneasy.

“This time it was for real. I won't let you down." Samuel patted his chest in assurance.

This time Ella's notebook and pen were unused. Compared to writing letters, Ella feels more comfortable using sign language.

She also wasn't worried that her master wouldn't understand. He has lived in the world for more than five hundred years, what is there that Samuel doesn't know!

“First, don't call me Gabriella. Just call Ella.”

Samuel quickly agreed to the first request.

“I have never been to the north. What's at the end of the Lani continent? Is there a race of giants like in fairy tales?”

Ella tried to express where she wanted to go. She wanted to go to a place from the very beginning.

At the northern end of the border was the home of the Holder dwarves. The Holder dwarves love to live in the cold and high mountains. They made a living by casting weapons and raising cattle.

The weapon made by the Holder dwarves is known as the most fearsome weapon. Thanks to that, the tribe's business is very good, enough to support an entire ethnic group that has little contact with outsiders.

Yet Samuel had a close relationship with the people there.

The purpose for Ella to choose this place is not complicated. It was just far enough away from the Magnus Federation to make Ella feel safe.

Living in such an isolated place, the probability of her meeting the main characters in the original is very low.

Samuel did not question or doubt Ella's answer.

He thought for a moment, then replied, “If you're interested in going north, then I think there's a place that's right for us. Do you know the Holder dwarves?”

Ella shook her head. Of course, she had to pretend she didn't know.

Samuel patted her head gently and said, "You'll like them very much, they're so friendly and open."

For some reason, Samuel was able to see the fastidious dwarves as friendly and open people.

If she remembers correctly, there was a time when the number two male lead Nolan Conal wanted to ask the dwarves to make weapons for him.

But sadly, before Nolan could even open his mouth, he was rejected. This unfriendly and hostile attitude towards outsiders is not a pretense.

“Ah, the weather in the north is quite cold. Did you bring enough clothes?" Samuel asked.

Ella remembers that among the luggage prepared by the Duchess, there was a suitcase just for holding winter coats. All of those shirts are sewn with premium fur, if worn, they will be very warm.

"Yes!" Ella replied.

"Okay then, let's go."

Samuel said excitedly.

The magic in Samuel had the opportunity to flow again. The magical barrier expanded underfoot, creating intricate rings of light with intricate patterns.

“This time we move further so we need a larger matrix.” Samuel smiled and explained.

The patterns that follow each other appear around the light rings, interwoven, making people confused.

But to Ella, they were all beautiful.

In some places, she even understood what the matrix was writing.

Samuel knew Ella would understand, he had seen her natural talent, so he accepted Ella as a student.

Samuel put his hand on Ella's shoulder, infusing her with his magic to keep her from being overwhelmed during the journey. Although Ella is a natural genius, she has not yet received professional training and still needs the most basic protection.

Without the whirlwind like before, the magic circle was finally completed, immediately sending Samuel and Ella out of the Magnus Federation and straight north.

This journey is highly anticipated for both of them, Samuel and Ella.
