Chapter 7: Land of the Holder.

Ella leaned over and peered through the curtain. The scenery outside had changed compared to the forest just now.

But Ella could be certain that this was not the dwarven village Samuel was referring to.

To answer Ella's question, Samuel jumped out of the donkey cart and continued, "We've reached the portal."

From the forest at the foot of the snowy mountain, they had to cross many dangerous hillsides to reach the village. The fastest way to overcome that arduous journey is to use a teleportation formation.

Samuel scooped Ella out of the donkey cart, took her hand, and stepped into the open field in front of him. There weren't any trees that could grow there.

"Ella, say goodbye to Otton."

Even though Ella didn't quite understand it, it seemed like Otton wouldn't go with them. She waved her small hand to Otton and the raven, Mun.

"Be careful, send my greetings to Renda." Otton waved back, not forgetting to instruct Samuel.

Samuel smiled and nodded, magic words continuously escaping his mouth. They quickly surrounded the two, coalescing into a large net and imprinting on the ground a perfect matrix.

"Ella, give me the stones."

Ella hastily emptied the bag back into Samuel's hand, the beautiful stones that had just touched Samuel's palm were thrown up by him.

They spin in their own dance. Landed on the ground precisely at the joints of the formation.

It turned out that this was the key that started the teleportation formation inside the barrier. A powerful magic aura spread around, enveloping the two teachers and students Samuel.

Get them where they need to go.

When Ella opened her eyes again, in front of her was the village of the dwarves.

The houses with simple architecture plus modest height, everything is very suitable for the small stature of the dwarves.

The sudden appearance of Ella and Samuel did not surprise everyone. There were even a few friendly people waving to Samuel.

Among them was a woman with a kind face, leading her young son towards them.

“Sammy is back? And who is this beautiful girl?" The woman smiled and asked, curious eyes fixed on Ella.

Samuel gently pushed Ella forward, gesturing for her to greet the woman: “This is my student, her name is Ella. Ella, this is Renda, our nearest neighbor. And this boy… Well, isn't that Mutah? Is it that big already?"

Samuel reached out to pat Renda's son on the head, but the boy tilted his head to dodge. It seemed that he was not initially amused by Samuel's friendly actions.

"Don't pat me on the head like you did when I was a kid, I'm eleven years old!" Mutah grimaced.

Samuel laughed at his attitude.

“Yes, I almost forgot. I have turned eleven years old. Just smart, can be friends with my students."

Ella bowed to Renda and her mother. The fact that she couldn't open her mouth was quickly explained by Samuel in detail.

Mrs. Renda's gaze on her grew more and more tender.

"Poor child, I will take good care of you." Renda reached out and grabbed her hands and patted her gently.

Even Mutah was very gentle with her, the boy took out a small toy from his waist bag and gave it to Ella.

"This is for you!" Mutal shyly whispered.

Ella looked hesitantly at the wooden deer in Mutal's hand, then looked up at Samuel. Only when she received a nod from the teacher did the girl reach out to receive the gift to meet her.

The toy is very carefully preserved, there is almost no scratch or stain on it. Ella lifted the wooden deer in front of her with both hands, gazing at the delicate toy with amusement.

Samuel smiled happily, patting Ella's head: "You don't need to be so careful. From today on, do whatever you like!”

Ella froze a bit.

After she understood that Samuel did not want to restrain her, she immediately nodded in agreement.

The greeting between teacher and student and Renda's mother and daughter ended when Mrs. Renda realized that she had work to do. Before taking her son away, Mrs. Renda invited Samuel and Ella to her home for dinner.

Samuel happily agreed and promised to bring Mrs. Renda's favorite dessert.

The two teachers and students waved goodbye as the backs of Renda's mother and daughter gradually disappeared behind the turn. Samuel took Ella's hand and led her to his house.

From a distance, Ella was able to distinguish it from the other houses in the village. Because aside from its unusually large size, there is no other building as big as it is.

An abnormality in size for the dwarves but normal for a human like her. Ever since she came to Holes village, there were a few things that Ella had not had time to adapt to.

Especially about the little things around me.

As soon as she saw the house for the first time, Ella's face was shocked. The house seemed more dilapidated than she had imagined.

Because the house has been unoccupied for a long time, the house is in a state of severe damage.

Samuel put his hand on his chin, thought for a moment, then said, "I think we need to fix this place a bit."

A bright smile appeared on the corner of his lips, in stark contrast to Ella's moody smile.

“A little fix?” Ella repeated what Samuel said.

The stone roof was about to collapse from the weight of the snow, the main pillar supporting the porch was crooked and ready to break in two. Even the fence surrounding the house has since collapsed.

This is not something that can be fixed a little!

Ella was secretly sad.

She seemed to have forgotten that the person standing next to her right now was the famous Great Mage like the continent Samuel Kime.

While the girl was forever calculating the time to repair the house in the usual way, the magic spells escaped from Samuel's mouth and performed their task.

“Dear Ella, how many bedrooms do you want our house to have? I think it's three, one for me, one for you and one for a surprise guest. It's a bit redundant since I don't think any guests will be able to come here, but it's common sense that there should be."

“The paving stones will keep you from slipping when the snow melts. Behind the house, there should also be a small greenhouse for growing plants. You will need to go there a lot during your potion-making training!”

“I see that your dresses are all very delicately embroidered with flowers and grass. I thought maybe you'd like them too, so I'll add them to my home decor. How do you feel?”

Ella looked up at Samuel, who widened her eyes at the teacher's cheerful face. Without waiting for her reply, the original shabby house quickly changed its shape.

Solid stone slabs and sturdy wooden pillars were rearranged from the ground up, linked together by magic. The whole old house disappeared, leaving a spacious and spacious new house appeared.

Everything is like slow motion, capturing this whole magical scene. It's like a carefully crafted toy made of lego blocks.

Their house was built just like that, using Samuel's magic and meticulousness.

"I think that's enough." Samuel was pleased to see his work, turned his head, and said to Ella.

The new house, with an area three times larger than the old architectural block, is perched on a small hillside leaning against the cliff.

Samuel opened the door and stepped inside, he reached out his hand to Ella: "Come in quickly, I think you need some warmth from the fireplace!"

Ella took Samuel's hand and walked into the new house.

A gentle scent spread around, and the warmth emanating from the crackling stove made Ella immediately at ease.

The way wooden door closed behind Ella, separating the cold outside from the warmth inside the living room. Samuel helped Ella remove her heavy winter clothes and hang them on the shelves.

He pushed her down into an armchair opposite the fireplace, covered her legs with a thick wool blanket, and placed a cup of hot milk in her hand.

Of course, those things were all created by him using magic.

“One day, you will learn all these things. And maybe you will be stronger than me.” Samuel said as he met Ella's admiring gaze.

Ella smiled lightly.

She raised her cup of milk and took a large gulp.

Even if she studied twice as hard, how could she surpass the one who was called the greatest Archmage in the history of the Lani continent?

It was just a comforting word he gave her.

With Samuel's kindness, Ella's new life in the land of the dwarves began.
