"so you've finally come to your senses and come running back to me Scarlett" said a familiar voice that I know all to well

it was all a dream, thank heavens

I wasn't back to that lunatic, I was here finally free of that monster,

I know I kind of panicked when nona told me all of those things about valerio... but I didn't expect it to bring back this nightmare, but I do know one thing tho, I am not sleeping on the same bed with that stranger

"Lord save me from this mess" I muttered starting to get up

"Are you ok?" a voice said

"wh who's there" I said already reaching for the knife under my pillow

"I'M FINE" I said the words coming out more harshly than I intended

"I'm fine" I said more softly this time

his expression still remained unreadable, watching me like a hawk

."w what are u doing here" I said suddenly becoming more self aware

I gave an instruction that my wife's things should be moved to the master bedroom so you can imagine my surprise when I came up to the bed to find it empty. and as I was in search of my wife I came here to find her almost being killed by a knife as she was tossing and turning, haunted by her dreams.....

"perhaps I should have a little talk with my staffs about obeying simple instructions" he said his voice getting dangerously low

"it wasn't their fault valerio" I said trying to keep my voice steady "I wanted to stay here"

"you wanted to stay here?" he said, his words slow and deliberate

and aren't husband and wife supposed to sleep in the same bed as a married couple? he said cutting me off

I opened my eyes to see him staring at me his jaw tightened, fist clenched

after a long pause his expression softened

"I won't hurt you Scarlett, I won't ever lay my hands on you" he said softly but firmly

"let's go" he said in that familiar cold voice

"you must be uncomfortable in that dress" he said as soon as we stepped in the bedroom

"here, put this on" he said handing me one of his shirts

I quickly removed my clothes and slipped into his shirt immediately I entered the bathroom

his shirt was short on me, really short and I wasn't wearing any underwear

how am I going to get through the night, one wrong move and my bare ass would be exposed

relax scarlet, its not that bad, besides isn't he ur husband?
