“Huhhhhh!” Jesabell got up violently, gasping for air. But she instantly lay down on the ground again and cried out in pain that was coming from her side. Again, she gasped, then she breathed heavily from too much pain.
“Argh, why does it hurt this much?” Jesabell cried again and grabbed her side. But because of what she did, she almost cried out from fear and pain when she touched her wound. “Oh my God! B-blood?” She whispered and was terrified as she watched her hands. She didn’t know how long she had been unconscious and lying on that cold ground. But why did it seem like her wounds were just shallow? All she knew was that someone wanted to kill her.
She quickly roamed her eyes around, and it was so dark, and there was no one else there. The surroundings were also quiet. She wanted to ask for help, but she was afraid of being heard by the men who had hurt her. She didn’t know where they were. But before she lost consciousness earlier because of fear, she had heard what the other man had said.
“Dude, that’s enough so it won’t become too obvious. The command for us is to just give her a little wound to make it look like she’s hurting herself.”
She closed her eyes tightly after remembering what the man had said before they abandoned her. She even reminisces about the other events that brought her to this place.
“Who are you, and what do you need from me?” Jesabell asked the two men who blocked her way.
“Don’t ask too many questions. Come with us, and you’ll have fun!” He grinned and held her arm with force when she started protesting.
She fought and cried, but no one heard her. It is her fault why she was in this remote place. She just wanted to scare Tyron so he could focus on her. But the man knows her well and knows she’s okay—that bad person chasing her was all a lie. But she didn’t think karma would bounce back. And here she is, fighting either for her life or death, since there would be a bad person who really wants to do bad things to her.
She did it several times, but it was the worst. It was her first time doing that bullshit at night. It was Emily’s fault, the woman Tyron wanted to marry. They were okay with the young man when she had never been in Tyron’s life. Tyron gives her everything, and she is the only woman in his life, even if he’s treating her as his sister.
Jesabell pressed her lips tightly and gave all her strength to lose the man’s grip on her. When he accidentally let go of her, she ran as fast as she could. But she had not been able to get away when she suddenly felt a sharp object dart into her side.
Hands trembling, she searched for her cellphone after remembering what had happened earlier. She found it beside her. The men intentionally left it, and she thought they were still around. She immediately called Tyron, and someone answered immediately.
“Jesabell, stop fooling around! Go home now, because otherwise you’ll sleep outside!”
Jesabell was in tears when she heard the man’s angry voice. “I can’t; I was wounded.”
Tyron was startled when he heard the girl’s voice. He could feel her fear, and she was obviously crying. But he knew the girl was good at fooling him to always get what she wanted.
“Tyron, I’m cold!”
Jesabell bit the inside of her lower lip out of anger when she heard Emily’s voice. She knew that, like her, she was just trying to get Tyron’s attention. But the girl was better than her. Another thing is that Tyron saw her as more kind, unlike her, who used to be sassy even when she was young.
“Jesabell, go home. I’ll give you an hour and—”
“Please, help me. Even just now. Promise, this will be the last!” She begged the man as her voice cracked.
Tyron sighed before speaking. “Emily is sick, and she needs me, so can you be mature this time?”
She sobbed when the man was no longer on the other line. But she immediately stopped crying because she felt the blood flow to her wounds continuously. She switched on her cellphone and searched for her friend’s number. She knew that Tyron had forbidden her from communicating with Jason because he was an addict, according to him. But she had no choice now. She didn’t want to die, especially in this kind of place. Jason is the only one she knows who is easy to approach and the one who knows these areas.
“Let me guess why you are calling; it’s because the man you love has never fetched you again,” Jason greeted teasingly when he answered his friend’s call.
“Help me,” she weakly uttered from the other line.
“Shit!” Jason violently got up from the chair where he drank wine when he heard the girl’s voice. “Where are you?”
Jesabell knew where she was because she had chosen that place earlier. She was so scared, not only because she thought she had a wound but because of the darkness that surrounded her and no one else around.
Jesabell knew where she was because she had chosen that place earlier. She was so scared, not only because she thought she had a wound, but because of the darkness that surrounded her and no one else around.
“I’m on my way. Don’t turn off the call, okay? Don’t be afraid and be strong.”
Jesabell nodded while crying even when Jason couldn’t see her. She just kept lying down and was afraid to move because her wounds might bleed even more, her one hand also supporting her on her side while the other was holding her cellphone. She heard Jason’s motorcycle engine, and she knew he could get to her fast despite the traffic.
After giving Emily her medicine, Tyron stood up. Again, he looked at his cellphone since he'd accidentally canceled the call earlier.
“Tyron, please just stay by my side.” Emily stopped the man before he could call Jesabell again.
“Just rest, and I’ll be back later. It’s late at night, so I have to find Jesabell.” He dialed the girl’s number again, but the line was busy. This means that she is talking to someone else.
Tyron’s jaws clenched, and the girl had fooled him again. He could almost believe that she was in danger. He was sure it was Jason she was talking to again over the phone because she didn’t get what she wanted from him.
Emily got up annoyingly when Tyron came out of her room. Even though Jesabell has fooled him several times, he is still worried about the woman and can’t stand her. At this time, she was certain that the man would be angrier and surely punish her.
Tyron went straight into his mini bar when he still couldn’t contact Jesabell. His patience for the girl was over. He should never feel sorry for her this time. He should have sent her abroad before to study. Now that she’s at the right age, she has become more stubborn and more naughty. Worst of all, she’s already able to hurt herself just to make him follow her.
It was his fault that the girl became spoiled. He had been her guardian since her parents died in a tragic accident. At that time, the girl was only fifteen years old when she came into his care, and he was twenty-five. Their grandparents were best friends. He knew the feeling of living without parents, so he agreed to what his grandfather wanted. Jesabell would stay with him, and he would be her guardian until she reached the right age.
But as they lived together under the same roof, the girl changed. She didn’t want him to be her brother anymore. She even asked his grandfather to marry her. And the worst thing she did was to make up a story that they had slept together, and his grandfather believed her.
Tyron sighed before drinking the contents of his glass of wine. As he looked at the clock, it was ten in the evening. He poured another shot of wine into his glass before calling Jesabell’s cellphone again.
Jason glanced at his friend’s cellphone as it rang. The girl was still asleep. When he saw her earlier in the dark place, she was pale and then lost consciousness. He felt so much pity for her earlier—she really fought against death and did not sleep until her safety was guaranteed. The doctor was still busy cleaning his friend’s wound, so he answered the call first.
“Where the hell are you now, young lady?” Tyron asked angrily.
“She was unconscious, and we were in the hospital,” Jason responded coldly.
Tyron was angry when he recognized the voice of the man holding Jesabell’s cellphone. “I know you work with her for the foolishness she is doing. Give her the cellphone right now, and I’ll talk to her!”
“If you don’t want to believe, go to hell!” Jason angrily ended the call and then returned next to Jesabell, who was still unconscious.
Tyron kicked the foot of the chair in anger. He called the girl’s cellphone again, but it was switched off. He quickly called his assistant. “Find out which hospital Jesabell was brought to now!”
Emily had left where she was hiding, annoyed. Even though the man was angry, he still couldn’t resist Jesabell. She quickly left her hiding place and returned to her own room. She needs to think of another plan now. And by hook or by crook, she has to do something that gets Jesabell out of her way!
"Tyron or you?" she whispered as well and laughed at the woman. "If you don't want them to look down on you, then don't try me here. Get your piggy-looking personnel away from me, and I might fry you in her oil." She meant to raise her voice to be able to reach Ms. Katibag's hearing. It was as if Emily got burned. She suddenly got away from Jesabell and approached her friend, whose cheeks had gotten red out of anger. She held her by the hand and whispered. "Calm down, don't worry, and you can get revenge on her in a different way."Jesabell smiled at the woman Emily was talking to, and it was obvious that she was trying to calm herself down. She waited for what other move Emily would take so that she would not be embarrassed by her.Emily cleared her throat and confronted the employees who had stopped doing their jobs and focused on listening to them. "Don't you have any work to do?" she shouted at them. The anger she felt for Jesabell shifted to the employees."Go to your work! And m
"Is there a problem with me?" she curiously asked the woman. She noticed that the woman is targeting her.The woman stopped, and the other employees looked at them."Seriously, she was just a new intern, but she was very courageous to question Ms. Katibag."Jesabell heard a woman near her table whisper. She looked at Lory and caught her laughing at her."How dare you! Don't you know me to answer me bluntly like that?" Ms. Katibag growled at her angrily."Excuse me! I'm sorry if you took it bluntly, but I'm just asking. Besides, I'm new here. I don't know what to do. I need proper guidance on what to do, like how you treated my classmates. And you don't even have to shout at me to obey your command because I'm not deaf," Jesabell said in a long litany.Emily grinned as she secretly watched Jesabell talk to her personnel. She was pleased with what she saw and the way Jesabell behaved against Katibag, whom she knew for being so strict at work. She will surely make a mess with Jesabell si
When Jesabell entered Patty's room, the woman was not there yet. It was still early, and she wasn't sleepy. She looked at her cellphone, but there was no message from Tyron. It only brought annoyance to her. He was bothering her earlier, knowing she was with her friends. But now that he knew that she was alone, he did not contact her. She didn't want to make the move. Then she remembers her friend's strict advice that she should be hard to get with Tyron. And let the man make the first move between the two of them.Suddenly, Timothy came to her mind. The man was kind. And his age and Tyron's weren't far apart. Having a child also added to his appeal. It was obvious that he is a responsible father for Trix despite being a single father. He is one of the examples of a hot single dad, which most women want to be with. Being a wealthy businessman is a jackpot! A message tone interrupted Jesabell from thinking about Timothy's family. She hurriedly read it."I'm a little bit busy. Sleep ear
Jason scratched his head awkwardly. His companions at the table were very serious, except for Mince, who couldn't stop laughing at his corny joke. When their attention was no longer with him, he grinned. Then he sent a message to Tyron again. Once he hears the voice message, he will surely be angrier. It was as if he had retaliated for neglecting his friend and for Jesabell's tears every time she cried for Tyron. Until their paths separated from Timothy's family, the smile on his lips had never been erased."What's the problem?" Jonard asked his grandson, noticing his dark aura."Grandpa, I need to go back to the company." He couldn't meet his grandfather's wondering gaze.Jonard sighed as he watched Tyron, knowing he was lying. "I survived the operation, so I will never stop you from doing what you want to do with her. But let her do what she wants to do, and don't force her with the things she doesn't want.""Thank you, Grandpa. But I don't know where and how to start because of wha
Jason stopped laughing so hard after reading Tyron's message. He was just forced to obey him because he was angry at what he had done to Jesabell's feelings before. And if it wasn't for his future and for Tyron showing his sincerity, he would never accept the offer, which, in return, required him to guard Jesabell."She can't refuse the child, and they will notice me if I keep on guarding her hard," Jason reasoned with Tyron in his next reply.Tyron heavily blew air out of his mouth. Then he thought of another way. He knew Jesabell loved him, but he annoyingly picked up his cellphone again. But this time, he no longer contacts Jason.Jesabell was unable to continue putting the food in her mouth when her cellphone on the table suddenly rang. The people whom they shared food with looked at her, so she shyly pressed the button to stop the ring without looking at who the caller was."Answer it, hija, and it looks important." Minche smiled at the girl, pointing at the cellphone as it rang
Jesabell shrugged. "What do you think? Does he love me too?""Am I the holder of his heart?" Jason replied philosophically to the girl."Hmmm, you're really nonsense!" Jessabell folded her arms and frowned.Jason smiled as he watched his friend. He's glad because she is happy now. Hopefully her joy will continue, and her young heart that fell in love and suffered from grief very early will never hurt again."Jason..." she called to her friend while looking outside the window."Hmmm?"She looked at her friend, who seemed too lazy to speak. "How can you tell if a man is serious about a woman?""When he respects her femininity and becomes protective of her."Jesabelle's face beamed in happiness and excitement. Then a sweet smile started forming on her lips. "So... Tyron loves me?""Tsk, don't expect it, and it's painful when your heart gets broken."Jesabell glared at her friend annoyingly, and he was really useless to talk to."But I think your relationship is leveling up."Jesabell fro
