“You can go home now. Will no one be able to fetch you here?” asked the doctor while looking at the girl’s record.
Jesabell smiled and shook her head. She needs to behave so she can finally be free. They tied her up and injected her with medicine so she could forcibly sleep. The young man has not visited her since he left her at the hospital. It looks like he meant her to stay in the hospital for a week while he was on a business trip in fear that she might have done something wrong against Emily without him. The young man had done so much heartbreaking to her, so she should really get out of his power. She also lost her cellphone, and she knew that the nurse who cared for her had hidden it so she couldn’t ask for help.
Jesabell made herself comfortable. Emily is in control of Tyron, as well as the assistants. She lost when Tyron still had a bad impression of her. Besides, she also knew that Tyron would not just free her because of his grandfather, who was abroad for treatment.
“When you feel something strange, you can come back here for consultation. Don’t forget to take this medicine for your depression,” the doctor commanded.
Jesabell sighed. She also has no trust in the doctor, especially since Emily has spoken to him. Unbeknownst to them, she did not take the drug for depression they had given to her. She knew for herself that she was not ill and neither had a depression. Because of the previous incident in her life, she has already learned not to trust others. When she remembered another woman’s voice before she finally lost consciousness that night, she clenched her fist.
“That’s enough! Come on, let’s leave her,” said a voice that Jesabell recognized.
One corner of Jesabell’s lips rose. She tied her straight, below-the-shoulder-length hair. “You want to play? I’ll grant what you wish for!” She stared at herself in the small mirror and smiled. Her mind has changed; she will stay on Tyron’s side temporarily.
She didn’t know what Emily’s new plan was, and she suddenly loosened her security. The woman knows her discharge is today, but she hasn’t ordered anyone to pick her up and make sure she gets home. And she knew Tyron was coming back, so he let her go.
After leaving the hospital, Jesabell took a taxi. She still has money. Fortunately, her bill is automatically credited to Tyron’s bank account. She didn’t want to spend her savings so she could use it when she left.
Since she doesn’t want anyone to see her arrive, she sneaked inside the house through the back door. She wanted to see what people do at home. And because she was good at hiding or fleeing, no one noticed her until she got into her room. The way she acts seems like a thief, which made her laugh softly while rolling down the soft bed. She missed her room, which she used for many years.
Tyron woke up with a headache. It was at dawn when he got home. But even though he was late, he was still waking up early. It just happened that he woke up late today. When he remembered Jesabell, he hurriedly got up and left the room.
“Good morning, are you hungry?” Emily asked the young man gently.
“Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?” Tyron told the assistant while wearing shoes.
“Tyron, don’t blame the assistant. It was my fault, and I told them not to wake up because you got home so late,” Emily’s shy explanation.
Tyron sighed and sat up straight. Then she looked at Emily. He just noticed that she seemed to be sluggish, yet he was only away for a few days. She might feel upset because he only asked about Jesabell’s whereabouts and forgot about Emily. “Do you feel something?”
“Sir, Señorita Emily hasn’t eaten yet because she’s waiting for you so you aren’t alone in the dining room,” the assistant reported.
“Nida, you shouldn’t tell that to Tyron,” Emily scolded the assistant.
Tyron sighed again and approached the girl. “You shouldn’t starve yourself because of me.” He looked at the assistant. “Prepare some food for Emily. I have to go and fetch Jesabell at the hospital.”
“Sir, I went to Ma’am Jesabell this morning, but she didn’t want to go home with me.”
Tyron looked at his wristwatch. “Then, where is she?”
“Tyron, you know Jesabell. She was confined at the hospital for a week, so she probably wandered with Jason for a while,” Emily explained gently to the man.
Tyron’s jaw clenched. He thought Jesabell had changed, but she just fooled him again. He quickly grabbed his cellphone and planned to call the girl. But he saw that she had a message. “Don’t look for me anymore, and I’d rather be with Jason.”
The frugal and strange smile plastered on Emily’s lips as she saw Tyron’s face getting dark.
Tyron angrily returned the cellphone to the pocket of his trousers and then approached Emily to help her to the dining area.
Emily was overjoyed when the young man’s palm touched her shoulder. She is like an expensive thing that he handles with care. But they were just a few steps away when the door of a room on the second floor suddenly opened. Her eyes widened when she saw Jesabell coming out.
Tyron’s forehead wrinkled when he saw Jesabell. She was walking down the stairs slowly, and she didn’t seem to see him.
Nida was restless in her stance and was afraid of Emily’s furious look. She didn’t know how Jesabell got home that she and the other helpers didn’t notice.
Jesabell stopped stepping on the last two stairs when she raised her gaze and Tyron was there. Her eyebrows were already furrowed as he looked at her. She didn’t know what her fault was, and he seemed angry again.
“Why don’t you wait for me to pick you up?” Tyron asked coldly to the girl.
“Tyron, don’t be mad at Jesabell anymore. Maybe she’ll prefer to be with Jason. The important thing is that she got home safely and early.”
Jesabell’s eyebrows rose as she stared at Emily. She looks like a saint and is pretending that she’s always defending her to Tyron. She was disappointed again. They notice her mistake before greeting her. She stepped again until he got down the stairs.
“Jesabell, did you know that Tyron is very worried about you, but you don’t even understand his situation? He calls you a few times, but you don’t answer,” Emily said to the girl.
The expression on Jesabell’s face was blank while meeting Tyron’s angry eyes. It was once again angry at her for what Emily said. “Give me back my cellphone.”
Emily’s eyes widened slightly, and she quickly clung to the young man’s arm. “Tyron, I don’t think Jesabell is still not good.”
Suddenly, the aura of Tyron’s face fell, and he approached Jesabell, but she shook her head. “Don’t be scared, I’ll take you to another doctor for treatment—”
“I’m fine,” she replied calmly to Tyron and controlled her emotions. She didn’t want to go back to the hospital, and maybe she got really crazy because of the drugs they were injecting into her. “I’ll just take it from Nida then.”
Emily looked at Nida. She was nervous, and she might not have done what she had ordered her to do. When the assistant nodded, she breathed a sigh of relief. She smiled secretly because Tyron would think that the woman was crazy when she insisted on taking her cellphone from Nida.
"Tyron or you?" she whispered as well and laughed at the woman. "If you don't want them to look down on you, then don't try me here. Get your piggy-looking personnel away from me, and I might fry you in her oil." She meant to raise her voice to be able to reach Ms. Katibag's hearing. It was as if Emily got burned. She suddenly got away from Jesabell and approached her friend, whose cheeks had gotten red out of anger. She held her by the hand and whispered. "Calm down, don't worry, and you can get revenge on her in a different way."Jesabell smiled at the woman Emily was talking to, and it was obvious that she was trying to calm herself down. She waited for what other move Emily would take so that she would not be embarrassed by her.Emily cleared her throat and confronted the employees who had stopped doing their jobs and focused on listening to them. "Don't you have any work to do?" she shouted at them. The anger she felt for Jesabell shifted to the employees."Go to your work! And m
"Is there a problem with me?" she curiously asked the woman. She noticed that the woman is targeting her.The woman stopped, and the other employees looked at them."Seriously, she was just a new intern, but she was very courageous to question Ms. Katibag."Jesabell heard a woman near her table whisper. She looked at Lory and caught her laughing at her."How dare you! Don't you know me to answer me bluntly like that?" Ms. Katibag growled at her angrily."Excuse me! I'm sorry if you took it bluntly, but I'm just asking. Besides, I'm new here. I don't know what to do. I need proper guidance on what to do, like how you treated my classmates. And you don't even have to shout at me to obey your command because I'm not deaf," Jesabell said in a long litany.Emily grinned as she secretly watched Jesabell talk to her personnel. She was pleased with what she saw and the way Jesabell behaved against Katibag, whom she knew for being so strict at work. She will surely make a mess with Jesabell si
When Jesabell entered Patty's room, the woman was not there yet. It was still early, and she wasn't sleepy. She looked at her cellphone, but there was no message from Tyron. It only brought annoyance to her. He was bothering her earlier, knowing she was with her friends. But now that he knew that she was alone, he did not contact her. She didn't want to make the move. Then she remembers her friend's strict advice that she should be hard to get with Tyron. And let the man make the first move between the two of them.Suddenly, Timothy came to her mind. The man was kind. And his age and Tyron's weren't far apart. Having a child also added to his appeal. It was obvious that he is a responsible father for Trix despite being a single father. He is one of the examples of a hot single dad, which most women want to be with. Being a wealthy businessman is a jackpot! A message tone interrupted Jesabell from thinking about Timothy's family. She hurriedly read it."I'm a little bit busy. Sleep ear
Jason scratched his head awkwardly. His companions at the table were very serious, except for Mince, who couldn't stop laughing at his corny joke. When their attention was no longer with him, he grinned. Then he sent a message to Tyron again. Once he hears the voice message, he will surely be angrier. It was as if he had retaliated for neglecting his friend and for Jesabell's tears every time she cried for Tyron. Until their paths separated from Timothy's family, the smile on his lips had never been erased."What's the problem?" Jonard asked his grandson, noticing his dark aura."Grandpa, I need to go back to the company." He couldn't meet his grandfather's wondering gaze.Jonard sighed as he watched Tyron, knowing he was lying. "I survived the operation, so I will never stop you from doing what you want to do with her. But let her do what she wants to do, and don't force her with the things she doesn't want.""Thank you, Grandpa. But I don't know where and how to start because of wha
Jason stopped laughing so hard after reading Tyron's message. He was just forced to obey him because he was angry at what he had done to Jesabell's feelings before. And if it wasn't for his future and for Tyron showing his sincerity, he would never accept the offer, which, in return, required him to guard Jesabell."She can't refuse the child, and they will notice me if I keep on guarding her hard," Jason reasoned with Tyron in his next reply.Tyron heavily blew air out of his mouth. Then he thought of another way. He knew Jesabell loved him, but he annoyingly picked up his cellphone again. But this time, he no longer contacts Jason.Jesabell was unable to continue putting the food in her mouth when her cellphone on the table suddenly rang. The people whom they shared food with looked at her, so she shyly pressed the button to stop the ring without looking at who the caller was."Answer it, hija, and it looks important." Minche smiled at the girl, pointing at the cellphone as it rang
Jesabell shrugged. "What do you think? Does he love me too?""Am I the holder of his heart?" Jason replied philosophically to the girl."Hmmm, you're really nonsense!" Jessabell folded her arms and frowned.Jason smiled as he watched his friend. He's glad because she is happy now. Hopefully her joy will continue, and her young heart that fell in love and suffered from grief very early will never hurt again."Jason..." she called to her friend while looking outside the window."Hmmm?"She looked at her friend, who seemed too lazy to speak. "How can you tell if a man is serious about a woman?""When he respects her femininity and becomes protective of her."Jesabelle's face beamed in happiness and excitement. Then a sweet smile started forming on her lips. "So... Tyron loves me?""Tsk, don't expect it, and it's painful when your heart gets broken."Jesabell glared at her friend annoyingly, and he was really useless to talk to."But I think your relationship is leveling up."Jesabell fro
