“Tyron, did something happen to Jesabell?” Emily asked softly as her right hand rested on the door and her body slightly bent as if she could not stand upright.
Tyron quickly returned to the girl and supported her. “Why did you come out of your room? Didn’t I tell you to go to sleep so you could rest?”
“I couldn’t sleep because I was worried about Jesabell. I know I’m the reason she rebelled with you today. Please take me with you, and I want to see her condition, too,” Emily tearfully begged the young man.
Tyron sighed. He lifted the girl and took her to the car. Well, he was going to the hospital, so it would be better if the girl underwent an examination.
When they arrived at the hospital, Emily secretly smiled, and the man carried her again. “Tyron, I’m fine, so you don’t have to admit me. Jesabell is more important, so you should take good care of her first.”
“Don’t be stubborn; you think of yourself and not her. She is already abusing your kindness.”
Emily lowered her face to the young man’s chest and smiled. She was so happy, and Tyron loved her. She had already let him go. Another thing is that she has a fever.
Jesabell slowly opened her eyes as she felt around. It was very quiet, but she knew she was in the hospital because of the smell she didn’t like. Suddenly, her whole body trembled as she remembered what had happened to her.
“Hey, calm down. You’re safe!” Jason tightened his grip on the girl’s palm. He knew that his friend was afraid of sharp objects, so it was normal to have an aftershock now because she was stabbed by the knife of whoever did this to her heartlessly.
“Thank you!” She was crying as she hugged her friend. Gradually, she calmed down. Fortunately, she has a friend like Jason. She rarely makes friends. Her female friends wanted to be friends with her because of Tyron.
Jason is the only one whom she can call to be her true friend, and he understands everything about her—most of all, he understands why Tyron is the man she wants to be with in life. Even though she got away from him and Tyron had hurt him, Jason was still here all the time she needed him. She was always his priority, unlike Tyron.
Jesabell sighed, as if it were her third life. Maybe this is the sign that she should change her outlook on life. Even with her heart, she had to change its beating.
“Jesabell!”
She let go of Jason and was afraid at Tyron’s thunderous voice. She gave her friend a meaningful look to leave, but Jason didn’t want to obey her. She was nervous for her friend, and she could read what would happen.
“Are you really that much? You are getting worse, Jesabell, and you are able to hurt yourself and put your life in danger!” Because of anger, the tendon on Tyron’s neck clenched.
Jesabell hardened her heart. She slowly looks at Tyron coldly and emotionlessly. This time, she doesn’t want to cry anymore, and she doesn’t want to defend herself anymore. She chose to keep quiet because she knew he wouldn’t believe her either since Tyron thought that everything she said and did was wrong. Especially when Emily is involved. Emily was kind and always playing a victim because she was from an orphanage. Emily is pitiful because she grew up without parents. Emily helped him out when he was almost burned while he was at the orphanage with his parents, who were doing charity at that time. It’s always about Emily, his heroine.
“Don’t look at me like that, Jesabell! Do you know what you are doing to yourself?” Tyron was still angry with the girl.
“I know, and I have learned, so don’t worry; from now on I will behave.”
Tyron sighed and noticed the changes in the girl. When he got angry before, she would start crying to be able to make him calm. Well, he didn’t want her to cry either. And now, he didn’t know what she was thinking.
“Why don’t you tell him the truth?” Jason scolded his friend.
Jesabell quickly shook her head, and Tyron might just get angrier at Jason.
Tyron’s angry gaze shifted to the man who spoke. “What else are you doing here?” he asked Jason sternly.
“I’ll take care of Jesabell,” Jason’s cold response.
“Bastard! After you tolerate her silliness, you still have the courage to boast in front of me?”
Jesabell closed her eyes tightly, and they seemed to return to the former mistake she had committed. So Jason would carry all the blame and get hurt. How idiotic she was back then. She took advice, which was no good at all, from the people she considered real friends.
“What, are you going to hurt me again and scare me to be removed from the scholars’ list?” Jason asked angrily and looked at the man as if he was challenging him.
Seeing Tyron raise his clenched palm in the air, she quickly embraced him to stop him. “Please, he’s not guilty here. He’s the only one I can ask for help, so he’s here.”
Tyron was shocked by what he heard. He was suddenly confused about whether the girl really needed his help earlier. She was also crying because of the man he wanted to give a blow to, so his anger welled up again.
“Tyron, what are you doing?”
Jesabell quickly wiped her tears from her eyes when she saw Emily. She was wearing a hospital gown like her. Seriously, she seemed to throw up in Emily’s hypocrisy. If you look at her, she looks seriously ill and was overpowered by putting the foundation on her face as well as on her lips.
“Why did you leave the room? What might happen to you?” Tyron worriedly supported Emily.
Jesabell sneered at Emily’s visible condition. It was as if she couldn’t break an egg. She feels herself as she looks at the two. And surprisingly, she wondered. Later on, a smile was plastered on her lips. This time, she wanted to praise and applaud herself because the jealousy she felt before turned into anger.
“Jesabell, why did you stab yourself? Don’t you think Tyron is the one to blame when something goes wrong with you?” Emily asked and scolded the girl gently.
“How did you know I was stabbed?” Jesabell asked Emily.
Emily paused and looked at Tyron. The man seemed to suddenly fall into deep thinking. She quickly thought about what to answer to the woman. “I’ve just heard the nurses talking about it.”
One corner of Jesabell’s lips rose, and she looked at the woman sarcastically. “Did you hear my name too?”
Emily cleared her throat. “You’re the only one I know who has been confined here who is also able to hurt itself.”
This time, Jesabell raised one of her eyebrows and looked sarcastically at the woman again. She’s really a superstar at making an alibi. “Are you sure I stabbed myself?” she asked in sarcasm.
“Isn’t it? If someone else did that, you wouldn’t have a shallow wound,” Emily said, accusing Jesabell.
Jesabell laughed as she shook her head. “You even know about my wound too. How great! Did the nurse also tell you how deep my wound was?”
Emily’s grip on the young man’s arm got so tight that she seemed to be fried in her own oil. “Jesabell, I’m just concerned about you. What I mean is do not repeat that thing because Tyron is the first to be affected,” Emily explained gently, changing the subject.
Jesabell sneered and glared at the girl even though Tyron was still in front of them.
“Jesabell, Emily is just concerned about you, so instead of speaking that way, you should be grateful.”
Jesabell only felt worse because Tyron sided with the woman again. It has not been new to her since he brought that woman home. Like her, he also wants her to study as a debt of gratitude to the woman for saving him eight years ago.
“When did you have the courage to hold a knife, Jesabell?” Jason asked his friend in curiosity.
Emily was surprised to see the man there. She did not get what the man’s reaction meant. When she shifted her gaze at Tyron, his forehead was wrinkled. It seems that she said something wrong that does not fit the situation.
“All I know is that you don’t know any work in the kitchen because you are afraid to hold cutlery. You have tried to fight that fear several times, but you are just fainting,” Jason added before he shook his head.
Emily felt her knees suddenly soften. Why doesn’t she know that? So does Tyron’s facial reaction seem to change suddenly? If Jesabell’s phobia were worse, then she couldn’t harm herself. Again she thought of another reason. “She can command other people to do that. That’s why her wound was shallow.”
Jesabell just closed her eyes and didn’t want to see the woman’s face, who is really good at making up stories against her. However, she could feel Tyron’s eyes on her despite her closed eyes. Emily was right, and of course Tyron would believe her.
“You’re right, so the person who did it to my friend should be caught,” Jason sarcastically agreed with what the woman said, giving Tyron an indirect hint.
Emily’s lips pressed strongly, and she got annoyed by Jason’s response. When she looked at Tyron again, the expression on his face was blank, and she knew he was thinking about what happened to Jesabell today. She intended to fall from her stance, and she held her head.
Jesabell opened her eyes when she heard Emily’s moan in pain. A bitter smile formed on her lips when she saw how much Tyron was worried about her. The woman even lowered her face to the young man’s chest. She was in a side view while looking at her. When their eyes met, a frugal but envious smile formed on her lips. The woman shows her that she is more important in Tyron’s heart than she is.
“I’m just dizzy, but I’m fine,” Emily whispered weakly as she clung to the young man’s arm so as not to fall.
Without any words, Tyron carried Emily, and they stormed out of the room. Jason looked pitifully at her friend. But he was shocked since she didn’t cry because of resentment and jealousy.
“You can leave me alone.” Jesabell smiled at her friend.
Jason just stared at his friend. It seems like he was facing a different person now. “Did anyone bewitch you when you stabbed?”
It was a genuine smile that was plastered on Jesabell’s lips because of her friend’s joke. “Crazy, can’t it be because I realize the foolishness of my heart and wake up to the truth?”
“Oh, I like that!” Jason seemed excited to approach his friend. Don’t go to bed first, and you might lose the effect, and you will be sane again.“
“Crazy!” She slapped her friend on the shoulder while laughing. But a few seconds later the smile on her lips slowly erased, and she was sad. “Thank you!”
Jason sighed. “You have to stand on your decision right now. Don’t be stubborn. If you want me to stay as your friend, change your life.”
Jesabell nodded to her friend. “But Tyron will definitely turn his anger on you and blame you because of me. I don’t want to hurt you anymore, so just leave me alone.”
“But—”
“I promise I’ll follow your advice as long as you leave. Don’t worry, when I get the chance to leave his territory, I will find you.”
Tyron clenched his hands when he heard what Jesabell said. He returned to talk to her properly, but this is what greeted him. So the girl intends to leave him now. He was angry and left when he saw the two hugging each other. He instantly returned to Emily’s room.
Emily quickly ended the call and hid the cellphone when she saw Tyron coming back. She thought he would stay longer in Jesabell’s room, which upset her earlier when she heard about him wanting to talk to the girl alone.
When Janina was sure that Timothy had left, she had just left the window where she could see the front of the building. As she approached the small altar, she stared at her son's picture. She tightly closed her eyes, and her tears ran to her cheeks again."Baby, I'm about to take revenge!" Janina spoke to the picture as her tears continued to flow. She could not be quiet even when she had a better life now with the kid who gave her another hope a few years ago.Janina's lips pressed tightly, and she clenched her fist when she remembered what had happened at the hospital. She didn't know why, but she was suddenly transferred to the operating room from the emergency room. All she knew was that she could give birth to the child normally, but the doctor insisted that she had to have a cesarean section. She even lost consciousness, and when she was awake, the hospital staff declared that her baby was in the incubator. She even caught her baby alive, but she could not approach him and could
"Thanks for the drive. I will not invite you inside because the house I rented is a bit messy since I haven't had enough time to clean." Janina shyly thanked the man when the car stopped in front of the building where her pad was.Timothy looked at the building with ten stories. Nor is it far from Tyron's company. "Are you safe in this place?" he asked the woman absentmindedly.Janina smiled. She was happy for Timothy's concern for her."Mommy, I'll help you clean up," Trix suggested, and he still wants to be with the woman.Janina smiled and looked at the boy sitting in the back seat of the car, next to his aunt. "Thanks, but I can manage it. Next time, I'll invite you to my house, and I'll cook you what you want.""Is it just Trix?" Minche asked, sounding resentful.Janina scratched her nape. "If it doesn't bother you, then you can come along too."Timothy got out of the car and opened the door for the woman. Before she came down, he let his son kiss Janina's cheek. It was as if he
"What's wrong? Why does my handsome nephew look so angry?" Minche asked and hurried to her nephew.Jona was forced to stand and give Minche a way to comfort Trix. Looking back at her, the woman she hated was there because she was trying to have a role in her son's life.Minche sighed when the boy refused to lift his head and just kept hugging his father. She darted a bad look at Jona and was sure she was the culprit."Trix, son, come to Mommy, and let's open your toy," Jona said to the child sweetly. One corner of Janina's lips rose when the boy did not shake and just kept hugging his father. She is happy, and Jona's relationship with the child is not good. She wanted to annoy Jona, so she interrupted. "Trix, I baked cookies; want to try them?"Trix quickly raised his gaze when he heard Janina's voice. Seeing the tray she was carrying, he excitedly approached the woman.Jona felt her chest explode in anger when she saw her son, who looked so happy and wrapped his arms around the woman
Jona stomped her feet when Timothy and the rest left her in the living room, alone. She went up the stairs and followed Trix with the assistant in his room to change clothes. She was annoyed by the fact that the room she was occupying was the same room she used when she was married to Timothy. When others find out the setup between her and Timothy, then they will feel pity for her or laugh at her.She changed her mind; instead of going to follow the child, she went into her room first. It was tidy, and there was no trace that she had stayed in this house. The pictures she had left behind were no longer there, or at least some of her belongings. She quickly changed her clothes—short-short jeans and a hanging blouse. Then she took the toy she had bought for Trix before coming out.Trix was stuck on the stairs when he saw his mother approaching him."Son, look what I've got for you."Trix stared at the large box that his mother held. "There's no space for toys in my playroom. Besides, I'
Janina carried her gaze around when they got out of the car. Trix immediately held her hand. The house is large, and the garden near the pool is wide. "That girl is really lucky, and she had the chance to live in this place!" she whispered to herself, referring to Jona."Mommy, let's go!" Trix excitedly invited the woman inside."Trix, slow down; maybe Ms. Janina will hurt," Timothy scolded the child. She looked and smiled at Timothy, her look telling him that she's fine. As they entered the door, she was impressed by the beautiful ambiance of the house. She glanced at the boy when he suddenly let go of her hand."Aunt Minche!" Trix eagerly ran to the kitchen door when he saw the lady.Janina glanced at the woman who had embraced Trix. When she looked at her, she smiled thriftily and slightly stooped in greeting. "Hello."Minche smiled and took her nephew as they approached the girl. "I guess you're Trix's new mommy, aren't you?" she asked the girl.Janina shyly smiled at the lady. It
A corner of Janina's lips rose, and her look sharpened as she was still hugging Trix. "It's time to charge your debts. I will make you experience how a loved one is taken away and how to lose someone dearest to you!" Janina whispered to herself. She knew Jona's source of life was Timothy, but she didn't love the son of her own. Her cousin has been so selfish since then. One thing that makes her wonder is how Timothy got her pregnant so she became the man's wife. She knew that Jona would not recognize her because so much had changed in her appearance."Mommy, I want to eat outside," Trix told the girl."Are you inviting me to eat outside?" she jokingly asked the boy and rubbed him on the cheek."No, Daddy will invite you!"Timothy was shocked when he heard his son's answer to Janina's question. He just arrived, and he caught that scene."Isn't it, Daddy?" Trix asked his father at the door.Janina looked up at the door, and Timothy was there. Suddenly, she was embarrassed, and he might
