MEGAN'S POV

My blood is boiling right now. How dare this man.

He dragged me in here like I’m some damn criminal. Like my day hadn’t been going perfectly fine until he showed up to ruin it.

My eyes burn into his, the pressure in my jaw sharp enough to split bone.

Xarion stands across from me, towering and infuriating, and somehow still manages to look controlled. But I see the storm brewing in his eyes.

"So it was you," he says, his voice even but sharp. "You’re the one who secured the Valemont sponsorship deal for Stone Corporations."

Oh. So that’s what this is about.

“Are you serious right now?” I bark out a laugh, but it’s laced with pure acid. "That’s the reason you pulled me into an empty room?"

His face hardens as he takes a step closer. "You must've known I’ve been fighting for that deal for years, Megan. You knew it meant everything to my company, to my pack. You got that deal just to spite me, didn’t you?"

My fists curl at my sides.
