"Is everything okay, Miss Lydia?" Patricia inquired for what felt like the thousandth time in this car trip.

"Yep." I responded finally and she exhaled.

"I just wanted to ensure there was no bad blood between us because you're one of the biggest reasons why I was able to get this job. I really want to thank you for that from the bottom of my heart." I looked at her through the corner of my eye, then reverted my attention back to the road.
