Chapter 3

Author POV.

"..........Mr. Tyler what do you think?" The mentioning of Tyler's name made him raise his head to meet his secretary's gaze.

"Oh yeah, I think it's a good offer?.......what do you think Stacey?"

Tyler said, nervously tapping his fingers on the table.

Everyone's gaze was on him, he was not paying attention all this time and on top of that, he looked miserable, If Valerie could see how miserable he looked, she would be so proud of herself now.

"I'm really sorry I wasn't paying attention…." Tyler nervously said, looking at the angry faces seated around him on the conference room.

'This is what happens when brats do a man's job.' Mr Smith thought to himself, he was letting out a smile on the outside, but in Inside he had some dark thoughts.

Tyler had no idea what was being talked about in the meeting, his mind was somewhere else. Ever since he found out about Valerie and Jordan, he hasn't been in the right State of mind, he spent all the time in his room trying to get over what happened, and it wasn't working, so decided that maybe going to work will help.

When the meeting was over, Tyler made his way out of the conference room with his secretary, Stacey. Stacey stopped and gave Tyler a stare. Tyler could sense a lecture coming up, because of the way he acted in the office, and for showing up at work even after she forbade him.

She sighed as if she was exhausted, and looked at him with a stern expression. "Okay, I'm going to say something as a friend and not as your secretary?"

"Uh-huh......what do you want to say?" Tyler sighed and continued walking, his head hurt and he was not in the mood to be lectured right now, he just wanted to go to his office and sleep on his office, he thought about going home….but, the attention and care he was getting from everyone at home, was just too much.

Stacey caught up to him and held his hand. "Tyler I'll cancel all your appointments for today.......you need to get over what happened."

"Yeah and it's what I'm doing!" Tyler replied as the got in the elevator.

"If you want, I can help you get over it.......we can go out tonight, go to some clubs," Stacey said In a warm and inviting tone.

Tyler faintly smiled, for the first time in a week, and playfully replied, "Yeah, I haven't gone out clubbing for a while now."

"Yeah, you haven't gone out in almost 5 months now." She said.

A few seconds of silence fell as they looked into each other's eyes.

Tyler pulled her by the waist and kissed her, her lips were soft, and they reminded him of the woman who broke his heart. He abruptly pulled away from the kiss.

"Is everything alright?" Stacey asked, with a concerned voice.

"Yeah I'm alright." He flashed a smile at her.

Stacey didn't mind the kiss, as she felt like he needed the kiss, and she would never mind if they got intimate.

Despite being his secretary, she was a good friend to him, she was always there for Tyler and his whole family. whenever Tyler needed her.

After the elevator door opened, they immediately walked out, Stacey went to buy lunch for them, while Tyler went to his office.

Tyler opened The office door and walked inside the office only to see two beautiful girls inside the office.

Valerie was elegantly seated on the sofa with her legs crossed, while Chloe was leaning on the desk.

Valerie let out a slight smile after seeing Tyler; Tyler's sadness only increased after seeing her face.

It used to be the most beautiful face on earth to him, but now when he sees it, he feels mad and sad. He used to think she belonged only to him, but it turned out not.

Valerie was gazing at Tyler, he looked like the saddest person on Earth, he looked like he hasn't smiled in centuries, and it melted her heart a little, even though she would never admit it.

Tyler turned to Chloe and flashed a smile at her as she was standing near his office chair, with a smile on her face, "Hey, Chloe….what's up?"

"Tyler Logan, you don't call, you don't return my texts either…." Chloe slowly walked towards him, she glanced at Valerie and looked back at Tyler. "Well, now I know why you don't call." She playfully said, she stole another glance at Valerie and continued, "Your fiancee is a 10 out of 10, is she a model?"

"No, she's not….my fiance." Tyler spitefully replied, without sparing a glance at Valerie.

Valerie's temper was never far, and it immediately shot up.

"Oh really, she told me, she's your fiance." Chloe could tell by Valerie's facial expression that she felt insulted.

Valerie flashed a smile and leaned on Tyler's arm, "We're going through something's at the moment, but I'm still his fiance."

Chloe awkwardly laughed, "Right." She looked puzzled.

Chloe's cell phone rang, she glanced at Tyler and faintly smiled before answering the cellphone. "Hey, Douglas….oh I forgot, I'll be there in thirty minutes, sorry." She lightly waved at Tyler and Valerie before walking out.

Tyler turned his attention to Valerie.

She was standing next to him with a saddened face, "Can we talk?" She humbly requested.

Tyler ignored her question and opened the door for her to leave, seeing her made him remember that day, and his anger boiled, he hated that feeling more than anything else.

He also couldn't deny that he felt a lot of things when he saw her beautiful face today.

"Get out, now!" Tyler ordered looking away from her.

He didn't even want to see her standing next to him. Valerie just looked at him in disbelief, but really this is what she should've expected.

"Tyler let's just fix things, I'm sorry," Valerie said with fake teary eyes.

At the same moment, Stacey walked in with a plastic bag, as Tyler was holding the door knob.

"Ummm, am I interrupting something?" Stace asked with a puzzled look.

"Yes, you are!" Valerie snapped at Stacey, fiercely looking at her, She always hated Stacey. "Get out now!" Valerie Yelled.

"No, you're not, love," Tyler sweetly said, closing the door behind Stacey.

"Ummm, I'm really sorry, I'll be back after you guys are done talking…." Stacey humbly replied with a smile on her face. She knew nothing was worth getting on Valerie's bad side, not even her hot boss, who she has been crushing on since forever.

Stacey walked to the office desk and sat the food down, she turned to leave but Tyler grabbed her hand and he pulled her to him, shocking her and Valerie.

"Babe, you don't have to be afraid of her," Tyler flirted, in an attempt to make Valerie jealous, so she'll leave him alone.

"Babe!" Valerie snapped, she was filled with so much jealousy. It surprised her, she even asked herself, 'why would she be jealous?'

She slowly walked towards Tyler, giving him and Stacey a death glare. Sending chills down Stacey's spine, she got a little intimidated and pushed Tyler away from her.

"No, he's lying," Stacey timidly took a few steps toward Valerie and started explaining herself: "Valerie, trust me, nothing is going on between us, trust me." She then turned around and left the office. Without sparing Tyler a look.

Tyler turned his head to see Valerie gazing at him with a smirk, it made him even madder. "Valerie, please leave!" Tyler shouted, pointing her to the door.

She didn't reply, she didn't leave either, she simply smiled and took a seat on the sofa. Trying to make her jealous? He still cares and she'll use that to her advantage.

Tyler sighed in defeat and took a seat on his office chair, this is what he expected from that clingy chick. Now she was forcing him to do something he never wanted to do, call the security to escort her outside.

"I hate myself for that." Valerie said in a sad voice, with her head down. She looked at Tyler with a dejected look and continued, "But you, don't have the right to be mad,...this…"

"I'll call security if you don't leave my office or the building Ms. Valerie." Tyler politely threatened, tapping his fingers on the desk.

It's not nice to call security to forcefully escort quests outside, but she was really testing his patience.

"Don't make me call the security, just leave." Tyler continued in a loud tone, that always intimidated no one.

"Well call them, cause I'm not leaving until we talk, Tyler!" Valerie replied her tone louder than usual. Her voice used to lighten his mood, but right now, Tyler felt irritated whenever he heard that deceitful voice.

She stood up from the sofa and took a few steps toward him and it made him feel like dragging her by the hand and throwing her outside of the office.

"I'm not going to say it again, so please Leave!" Tyler threatened.

Valerie's attitude suddenly changed.

"Can we just talk about this? Why are you even mad at me?….it's all just ….we're only dating because of the promise we made to your grandma….so I'm free to do what I want Tyler!" Valerie yelled, she gritted her teeth.

"What do you want to talk about?" Tyler replied sternly, realizing she was right, she can do whatever she wants since they were forced to be together.
