Freda’s POV

I looked back when I heard someone calling my name and was surprised to see Vivian standing there. “Thanks,” I muttered, and without saying much, I simply nodded and left.

Vivian couldn’t believe what had just happened. She had expected me to be excited about her suspension and not to plead on her behalf, despite all the despicable things she had done to me. That moment confirmed it for Vivian – she realized that I had a heart of gold.

Returning to my office, I reached for my phone intending to dial Liam’s number, but then I remembered that he didn’t have a phone.

I made a silent resolution to get him one, but only after I had resolved everything going on between Darren and me. I couldn’t wait to see Darren tonight and have a conversation to clear the air. I hoped for the best and wished for our reunion.
