Ninteen

She smiled at Jake's neighbor, as she climbed the flight of stairs to Jake's door. She had given her boyfriend; two days space, to get over whatever he was feeling, decided to let him call first but he hadn't called or texted; so she decided to pay him a visit instead of calling.

She was here now, with a cake in her hand to celebrate his birthday, which was today and spend

time with him; and have that talk they've been avoiding.

'Luke, good afternoon.' She greeted Jake's neighbor by his left, as he came down the stairs

towards her; she had to shift to one side, for him to pass; because the stairwell wasn't big rnough for two persons to pass at the same time.

'Hello, beautiful.' Luke said as he passed her and stopped behind her.

She turned to look at him. 'Hey, handsome.' She smiled. Luke was quite a charmer, quite

entertaining than Jake.

'Is that cake I perceive?' He said with a smile; bringing his nose to the cake that is covered. He
