LOGINChapter 7
An Idea Beck repeatedly took a deep breath and exhaled roughly, the man waited for the morning that seemed to never come. He couldn't close his eyes because he was worried about Vanilla who he thought was with Nick, maybe his best friend was flirting with Vanilla because he knew how Nick was. This time he really regretted pushing Vanilla to Nick, if he had one girl in his life, then Nick had a ton of women that he could change at will whenever Nick wanted. Beck regretted it because he was emotional and felt quite tired of all the pressure since Vanilla was in Barcelona. He decided to make coffee in the kitchen then bring a cup of coffee into his room, activate the smoke detector, turn on his laptop then start working while smoking his tobacco until he didn't realize the night had passed and turned into morning. Beck rushed to clean his body then put on his clothes without intending to go to the dining room first to touch the breakfast that had been prepared by the service and immediately left his house. He didn't need to drive his car to get to Vanilla's house, he just had to walk to the gate of his house then walk a few dozen meters to arrive at the West family's residence. The West family's security guard was clearly surprised to find Beck standing outside the fence of the house, the fifty-year-old man who had worked since the West family bought the house deftly opened the door for Beck. Not only was the security guard surprised to see his presence, the maid who opened the door for him was also surprised because for years Beck had never shown his nose in the house and suddenly came at a time when it was still too early in the morning. With long steps Beck went straight to Vanilla's room, his jaw looked tight while the light in his eyes looked gloomy wrapped in hollows in his eyelids. When he arrived in front of the door of the intended room, Beck stopped. The man was regulating his breathing while also arranging his emotions which might not be ready to accept the fact that if Vanilla was not in the room, that meant he had to look for Nick and crush his best friend's head. When the door to the room opened, relief came to him. Vanilla curled up like a tame kitten, breathing softly enjoying her deep sleep and not being disturbed at all even though the sun had entered through the gaps in her window curtains. Beck stepped closer to the bed, he staring Vanilla's face. Observing her hair that was spread on the pillow, he slowly touched it using his fingertips, feeling the softness of the girl's hair. Unconsciously, her lips curved into a thin smile. Slowly his focus shifted to Vanilla's face, seriously observing his fiancée's face. It felt like it had been a long time since he had seen Vanilla that close. He didn't even remember the last time he and Vanilla weren't tense because of the matchmaking problem that he couldn't accept. Consciousness took control of him, his palm that had been stretched out to touch Vanilla's skin, he pulled it back. Beck took a deep breath then immediately moved away from the bed and rushed out of Vanilla's room, secretly he cursed his stupidity that tortured him thinking about Vanilla until he didn't sleep at all. He shouldn't have gone too far, let alone come to the girl's room and if Vanilla knew about his presence, the girl would definitely misunderstand. Just as Beck finished going down the stairs, Xaviera stood not far from where he was. The beautiful woman stared at Beck with a cold gaze. "Why did you come to see my daughter so early in the morning?" Xaviera's tone was not friendly at all. "I was just checking on her," Beck answered flatly. Xaviera smiled sarcastically. "I hope my daughter will soon realize that you are not worthy of her," she said no less sarcastically with a smile on her lips. Beck swallowed his saliva. "I hope Vanilla is willing to cancel this engagement." "I hope. As soon as possible," Xaviera said coldly and sarcastically. "Get out of here before my daughter wakes up, I guarantee she won't know if you come to see her. I don't want her to expect anything from you." From the beginning, Xaviera did not really agree with the wishes of the Peyton family who suddenly planned their daughter's engagement with Beck. However, she could not oppose because she and Lucy, Beck's mother were very close since they lived next door as neighbors. Lucy also loved Vanilla very much, treating her as if she were their daughter. While Vanilla when Beck's parents proposed to her, her daughter looked happy. The glow in her eyes sparkled as bright as the stars. She could not bear to break her daughter's happiness, she knew her daughter liked Beck because in fact Beck was the only young man close to her. Now, all Xaviera did to Vanilla was change Vanilla's appearance not for Beck. The woman was sure that out there was a good man who could appreciate her daughter's feelings. Love her daughter as much as Vanilla loved her. A mother always hopes for the best for her child, especially in this world where Vanilla is the only one she has, the only priceless legacy of her husband. For Xaviera, Vanilla's happiness is absolute. Xaviera secretly often cried watching Vanilla trying too hard to get Beck who didn't care about her at all. Xaviera also knew that Beck had a lover who he often brought to his house in the past year, precisely since Beck's parents were more often in Madrid. *** "Vanilla...." The man's deep and hoarse voice, Vanilla still remembered it. Although she was a little hesitant. She turned towards the source of the voice. Nick, the man who had chatted with her last night until almost three in the morning and then drove her home was standing next to a new sedan not far from where Vanilla was standing. He had just come out of his bakery, intending to return to his house because it was almost evening. "Nick?" Vanilla stepped closer to the handsome man. "You here?" There was no awkwardness visible from Vanilla's attitude even though in her mind there was still a little nervousness. Nick smiled. "My mother asked me to buy her favorite cake," he said. The man held a shopping bag in his left hand, a smile on his lips blooming perfectly. Vanilla blinked both of her eyes. "Your mother likes our shop?" she asked. Nick narrowed one eye then he looked at the shopping bag in his hand. "Gosh! So, this Vanilla Bakery is yours?" Vanilla grinned. "Oh my God. I thought you knew," she said shyly. "I like it too, our whole family likes it," Nick said earnestly. "Thank you," Vanilla said, the girl bit her lower lip. Damn! Nick cursed the way Vanilla bit her lower lip. The girl was very beautiful, adorable, and sensual. He wanted to drag Vanilla into his arms and kiss her until she was weak. Last night because he was with Vanilla for too long he became very excited and could no longer think clearly, he called one of the women to fulfill his desires while fantasizing about imagining Vanilla under his control. Nick cleared his throat. "How about we go for a coffee?" Nick opened his car door. "I mean, just for a bit before you go back to your house." "How's your cake?" Nick carefully put the shopping bag containing his mother's cake order on the back seat of his car. "No problem, my mom can wait, where's the nearest cafe here?" he asked as he closed his car door again. The light in Vanilla's eyes seemed to flash. "I have an idea." The girl signaled Nick to follow her, she stepped into her cake shop. However, they went through the back door. Vanilla led Nick towards the building that was in the process of being prepared to open her restaurant. They arrived at the kitchen that would later become the main kitchen of the restaurant. "I hope you don't mind that we're in the kitchen," Vanilla said. "Sit down, Nick." "It doesn't matter where," Nick said. Vanilla tied her hair, she also took a clean apron and put it around her body. "Tell me what kind of coffee do you like?" Nick sat on the chair in front of the pantry table, his eyes scanning the entire room and ending with the beautiful girl who was tying her apron. "You're going to open a restaurant?" Vanilla pulled a drawer, the girl took out several cups. "At first it was just a cafe to drink coffee and enjoy cakes and ice cream." Nick looked serious observing all of Vanilla's movements, staring at the girl with admiration. "Good idea." "But, I feel like it's just a cafe, it doesn't seem profitable because this shop is quite big," Vanilla said while reaching for a jar of coffee. The girl read the writing on the jar to make sure she didn't take the wrong coffee. "I've put together a concept of a cafe and restaurant." "It sounds good," Nick said, the man took off the jacket that was covering his body, carefully placing it on the back of an empty chair. "You haven't answered my question," Vanilla protested while she glanced at Nick who was rolling up his shirt sleeves. "I want to enjoy your coffee, anything is fine." Vanilla smiled broadly, trying to forget the body of the man not far from her. Vanilla was sure, Nick's body was perfectly sculpted behind that shirt. "Okay, you're our first customer. I will prepare the best coffee from this restaurant and also... of course it's free," Vanilla said with a broad smile.Chapter 14An Idol"Don't say you needed a fuck this morning, Nick." Charlotte who was standing behind Nick kissed the lips of Nick who was sitting leaning his head on the back of the sofa.Charlotte, she was Nick's best friend since childhood. Just like Beck and Vanilla. However, their relationship was more casual, Nick sought out Charlotte when he needed an outlet for his urges. Likewise Charlotte, she doesn't mind how Nick treats her. They were both free, Nick was free to date other girls and Charlotte was free to date other guys."No, I just need you to listen to my problems," Nick said. "Damn it, I just got rejected by a girl."Charlotte sat next to Nick. The woman's brows were deeply furrowed, almost touching. "What did you say?"Nick sighed. "Besides luxury items, what do girls usually like?""Handsome men," Charlotte replied quickly and then laughed amusedly."Oh my God, I'm serious."Charlotte played with Nick's curls using her fingertips. "I'm also serious, besides luxury it
Chapter 13ConfusedVanilla had just entered the dining room and was stunned to see who was there. Nick, the man sitting on the dining chair was enjoying breakfast at her home with Xaviera."Nick...." Vanilla actually seemed to groan calling the man's name."Honey, good morning. Come here," said Xaviera, the woman was pouring milk into a glass. While Nick, the man just grinned. However, his eyes looked at Vanilla softly, longingly as if he hadn't seen her in years."Why are you here?" asked Vanilla as she pulled up a chair next to Xaviera. She deliberately didn't take the seat next to Nick because she felt very nervous about getting too close to him."I wanted to have breakfast here," Nick replied, his eyes fixed on Vanilla whose face looked red.Vanilla spluttered in her heart at the man's answer, she thought it was just an excuse, there was nothing more reasonable than to share breakfast at someone else's house while he was a wealthy man. However, she couldn't help but feel very hap
Chapter 12Wild KissingInside the glass building, Vanilla squealed, her body shaking violently, and could barely breathe properly. Her thighs were wrapped around Nick's waist, her arms were wrapped around his neck while her face was in the crook of his neck. In all his life that he could remember, he had only ever seen tigers on television. Maybe he'd seen one at the zoo when he was a kid, but he didn't remember it. The cats Nick was referring to were five huge tigers, huge like a cow only not as tall as a cow. There were three yellow tigers and two white tigers. The tigers welcomed Nick and Vanilla by sniffing Nick and Vanilla's bodies alternately and then rubbing their heads against Nick's legs pamperingly. Vanilla was so scared, she felt like she was a hunk of meat going into a mill. She wanted to cry and run away from that place. However, it was obviously impossible because she couldn't even stand on her own two feet. "Nick... it's not a cat," she whined in a trembling voice.
Chapter 11 In My Arms The atmosphere seemed quiet, only the sound of paper being seldom flipped broke the silence. "Mom, come on... help me." Sophie whined to the woman in front of her who was reading a tabloid. "I've told you since long ago that Beck is not good for you, I have repeatedly introduced you to the son of my clients who are much richer. But, you are blinded by love.""You introduced me to an old man," Sophie grumbled. "Just a few years older, it doesn't matter. What matters is that they have a lot of money." Nena did not shift her focus at all from the tabloid in her hand. "Now you are unemployed, your credit card was also taken by Beck.""Lucy took it, not Beck," Sophie corrected."Whoever it is, it makes no difference because it means you are now completely useless," Nena said, indifferently. "In this city there are many men who are richer and more handsome than your lover." "But, only Beck spoils me. Other men only want my body."Nena closed the tabloid in her ha
Chapter 10Too Close Vanilla cried in Nick's arms, pouring out all the pain Beck had given her. Beck had just accused her of wanting to separate him from Sophie, even arrogantly Beck said to finish their engagement. "You think you'll be able to take me away from Sophie by taking her position in the company?" Beck sarcastically threw his taunts at Vanilla. Vanilla, who at that time still didn't understand where Beck's conversation was going, could only listen to Beck's words that continued to corner her. "Don't think too highly of yourself just because my parents love you, Vanilla. You can persuade my mother to fire Sophie from the company. But, that won't be able to separate our love," Beck said arrogantly. Vanilla felt her chest start to tighten, she understood why Beck was so angry with her even though she only guessed that Lucy did something to Sophie. Beck always rejected her, Vanilla couldn't deny that she felt hurt by Beck's rejection. However, being accused of something sh
Chapter 9 Trick "Mom, you can't act arbitrarily like that." Beck immediately protested. Lucy smiled in a very arrogant way. "What can't I do? This company is mine." Beck snorted, he was at a loss for words because the fact was that the company belonged to his mother. "Honey, wait outside," Beck said to Sophie. Sophie nodded weakly and with her face down left the room accompanied by a cynical look from Lucy. "Starting Monday, Vanilla will be your secretary," Lucy said, sounding cold, but firm.Beck was surprised to hear his mother's words. "Mom, don't joke." The man furrowed his eyebrows until they almost met. "Vanilla is your fiancée, wouldn't it be nice if you were together all day?" Lucy approached her son and patted Beck's shoulder, gently and lovingly. "Mom...." "What's so hard about accepting your arranged marriage? Besides, you've known each other since childhood.""I don't love Vanilla, Mom. I only consider her a sister." Beck leaned his back on the back of the chair.
