"Shield," I mumbled a spell under my breath and watched the barrier I created shove away the three men who tried to lurch at me. I was attacked the second night in a row. This couldn't be coincidental. Nobody, not even me, was THAT unlucky.

There was a guy who only stayed a few steps away while others attacked. He stared at me with his terrifying golden eyes while his thin lips formed a cold smirk. "Stop playing with her! We were ordered to get her, so just do it!" he yelled at others.

The five other men nodded and started to shift, their clothes turning into shreds as they grew taller and more massive. I watched their transformation and gulped. Instead of landing on their four paws, they remained standing on their two feet. I had never seen lycans before, but I think I was looking at them right now...

"Oh, Goddess Hecate," I muffled a squeak with my hand. My body started to tremble. Not because I found the creatures before me horrifying, but because I realized I had seen a beast
