LOGINEdward’s P.O.V
“Gosh, you are so hot, Edward.” Veronica was sitting on top of me and caressed her hand on my bare chest.
“Not as hot as you, my love.” I replied to her before we locked in for a passionate kiss. Her lips was so sweet, just as I remembered it.
“I miss you so much, Veronica. Finally, it’s just the two of us, like the good old days.” Instead of replying, Veronica suddenly bit me on the chest. I let out a small pained groan and asked her what it was for.
“I need to get rid of all traces of that woman from you.” She replied possessively.
“How many times have you f*cked her with this body?” She asked again before biting me on the neck. I let out the same pained groan, but this time, I grabbed her face carefully and made her look at me before smirking teasingly.
“You’re even sexier when you are jealous like this. Don’t worry about anyone else, I am entirely yours tonight.” I reminded her before kissing her again.
Our kiss grew more passionate. I grabbed her hand and pinned her down on the bed, switching our position.
“I want you to fill me up entirely, Edward.” She pleaded with longing gaze.
“Of course, my love, anything for you.” As I was about to kiss her again, my phone suddenly rang, breaking my concentration.
“That damn phone!” I cursed underneath my breath before I grabbed it and looked at the screen. It was Darren.
“Who is it?” Veronica asked me with a frown on her face.
“It’s my butler, I have told him not to call me while I’m on a trip.” I explained, feeling the annoyance building up inside me.
“I told you not to disturb me, Darren.” I scolded him.
“My apologies, sir, but we have some problem over here.” His voice sounded concerned.
“What kind of problem?” I asked him.
“Earlier the madame left the house with a suitcase. She said she’s staying over at her friend’s house and one of her friend, Sienna, picked her up.”
“So what is the problem with that?” I asked again.
“The problem sir, is her suitcase was much larger than what a woman needs for a two night’s stay. I was suspicious so I put a GPS tracker on her suitcase and…”
“And what!?” I cut him, feeling my impatience growing.
“She found out about the tracker and broke it. I lost sight of her location. I am afraid she might be running away.”
Hearing the word she might be “running away” made my heart jump from my chest.
“No, that is not possible. She doesn’t have any reason to.” I tried to reason in my head. Veronica who was laying beside me was starting to become impatient as well.
“Edward, what’s wrong?” She asked me.
“Sir, there’s more. I found out an empty phone box in the trash can today. Looks like the madame has purchased a new phone.”
“A new phone, why would she need a new phone when her phone is already the latest model?” I asked him. For some reason, I began to feel uneasy.
“Darren, I’m heading home right now. Stand by over there.” I turned off the call and rose from the bed.
“Edward, what the hell, you’re going to head back?” Veronica asked with a frown on her face.
“Sorry Veronica, there’s an emergency at home. Agata left the house, but she’s acting suspicious.” I told her.
“Agata? You told me you don’t love that woman, so who cares where she’s going!?” She argued as I was putting on my shirt and buttoning them.
“I don’t love her, but she’s pregnant with my son. If something happens to her, my son’s life is at stake.” I reasoned with her before grabbing my phone.
“So you’re just going to leave me here alone? Seriously!?” She raised her voice and I saw anger flashing through her eyes. I leaned in closer and kissed her on the forehead.
“I am sorry, Veronica. I promise I will make up for this when everything’s settled.” I told her as I rushed toward the door.
“Edward! You can’t do this to me! You can’t just leave me on my own!” I could hear her voice calling for me angrily. Normally I would coddle her, but I have better priority at the moment.
I got into my car and started driving back home. The whole ride, I was feeling uneasy. I did not know what it was, but my heart was beating so fast and anxiety crept in to me.
“There is no way she would run away, Agata loves me and she thinks I am in love with her. I treat her well, she has no reason to go.”
I kept on repeating those words in my head, trying to convince myself there was no way she would leave me.
It’s two hours ride from the city to my home, but I was speed driving, so I managed to get back in one and a half hour.
When I returned back home, Darren was already waiting for me.
“When did she leave?” I asked him.
“Around three hours ago.” Darren replied.
“I’m checking the bedroom first.” I headed upstairs to our bedroom. When I opened the door, I noticed a lot of her belongings were already gone. Then my attention fell on the envelope on the bed.
With trembling hand, I took the envelope and slowly pulled out the letters inside. When I opened the letter and read the content, my eyes widened in shock and my breathing nearly stopped.
“No way! This can’t be happening.”
Agata’s P.O.VI shut my eyes, waiting for the wine to come. However, a few seconds passed and nothing happened.A gasp was suddenly heard around me. I opened my eyes and saw Edward standing in front of me. His black and white suit was completely drenched in the wine color and stench. Veronica’s eyes widened as she placed the wine glass back on the table. Some whispers were starting to be heard in the room.“Edward, what are you-” Edward looked at Vincent and back to Veronica.“Our engagement is over, but it doesn’t give you the right to attack anyone, Veronica.” Edward spoke.“Ev
Agata’s P.O.V“For some reason, I have a bad feeling about tonight’s charity event.” I thought to myself as I clutched my hand against my chest. I was so lost in my own thought, I didn’t realize the door had opened.“Oh wow, you look gorgeous.” Sienna complimented me as she saw me wearing the new navy dress William had gotten me for this event. Sienna herself was wearing a light blue mermaid dress that made her complexion glow more than usual.“Thanks Sienna,” I told her. She approached me and took my hand.“No, thank you. I didn’t think you would actually come and accompany me for the charity event. If you were not coming, I literally wouldn’t know what to do there.&rd
Agata’s P.O.V I walked outside and found a swarm of reporters around the front “Miss Wellington, are you going to go back to Mr. Warner?” One of the reporter asked.“Miss Wellington, who is that gentleman next to you?” Another reporter asked. I turned to William, feeling overwhelmed. William just held my hand and whispered.“Let’s clarify things once and for all.” With that encouragement, I turned to the reporters and spoke again.“No, I am not going back to Edward Warner. I ran away from him five years ago because he cheated on me with Veronica, his first love."
Agata’s P.O.V I walked to the lobby and saw Hendrik sitting on the wheelchair in the lobby. Behind him was Belinda, holding the wheelchair for him. “What are you two doing here?” I asked them, showing an obvious lack of excitement. Hendrik grabbed his cane and stood up from the wheelchair, facing me with the same cold gaze as before. “How long are you going to embarrass my family and drag William down with you!?” He asked me. I played dumb, acting like I had no idea what he was saying. “I don’t know what you are talking about.” I told them. Belinda walked until she was right next to me. “The news, your ex husband is openly declaring his pursuit of you. Everyone who knows you are in a relationship with William will talk about this. You are humiliating this family!” She told me. It was a little terrifying to me how easy someone could flip in their treatment toward you when they decided they were done with you. Belinda suddenly grabbed my hand and held it tightly. I could feel
Vincent’s P.O.V I pulled the trigger and the sound of a gunshot was heard in the air. Edward shut his eyes briefly and then opened it again, checking his body.He was still perfectly intact, without any injury. Darren was already pointing his gun at me again, ready to shoot until he realized his master was not injured. Edward turned his head around and saw the tire of his car had been shot. “This is my last warning to you, Edward. If you try to hurt my sister again, next time, I won’t miss. The bullet will be going straight to your head.” I reminded him as I put the gun back to the holster.
Vincent’s P.O.V I was getting ready to work that morning when I suddenly heard a ringing on my front door. I wondered who it might be, so I went there and opened the door. To my surprise, I saw my sister Veronica standing there, her eyes were red and a bit puffy from crying. She was holding a suitcase in her hand and looked at me with a weak, almost pleading gaze. “Veronica, what happened to you!?” I asked her. “Brother, can I stay here with you? At least until I can find and purchase a house of my own.” She told me. “Wait, why? Aren’t you supposed to be living with Edward?” He asked me. “Edward… he… he kicked me out.” Upon hearing this, my eyes widened in shock. “What did you say? He… he kicked you out?” She nodded weakly. I clenched my fist and wrapped one arm around her shoulder. “Come in first, Veronica. We have a lot of things to talk about.” Veronica got inside the room and we had a conversation on the sofa. “Why did he kick you out?” I asked her. “Because he brough
