Lily

Wesley raises an eyebrow, considering my proposal. “And how do you think that will work? What happens when one of us catches feelings?”

“We will end it,” I say firmly, though inside, I’m not sure if I could actually go through with it.

Wesley is quiet for a while, the sizzling of the pan the only sound in the room. “You know, I’ve been thinking about it too,” he admits, turning to face me. “I can’t seem to get you out of my head either.”

My heart skips a beat. “Really?”

“Yeah,” Wesley nods. “Maybe we could give it a try, but we need to establish some ground rules. No emotions can be involved, and the sex only happens when we both want it.”

I nod, feeling excited and nervous all at once. “Okay,” I say, knowing full well that this could either be the worst or best decision of my life.

Wesley comes over to me, smirking as he lifts up my chin with his finger. “Do you think you can handle not falling in love with me, Lily?”

I meet his gaze, feeling a fierce desire rising up within me.
