“I’m late!”

Nicole practically screamed when she opened her eyes and saw the clock saying it was past nine in the morning.

She quickly got up only to fall back onto the bed because besides her aching head and body, which she thought hadn’t fully recovered from the pain in her stomach and her cousin Lucy’s visit, she also felt a large arm resting on her waist. She immediately looked at the man beside her who was sound asleep.

Why did she forget that Alexander chose to sleep beside her last night?

It probably slipped her mind because she was focused on being late for work.
