~Lexa~

“Come on Lexa, there should be more. You promised to have fun, remember?” She stood in front of me with her hands on her hips.

Stopping me from moving forward.

“You forced me to make a promise so that doesn’t count.” I gave her a stern face.

Anything at all to get her off my back. But Christine doesn’t move an inch, her face beaming with the thoughts that I had something fun to tell.

Just what exactly was I going to tell her?

“Alpha Zane is going to be here any minute from now, you know I’m still on the line?” I muttered with a bit of maybe too much emotion. Anything at all to get her off my back.

They all respect him, bowing and remaining quiet unless asked to speak.

But I got lucky enough to bypass all that since I lost my memory.

I also know it’s enough time to start acting along but nah … not with Alpha Zane. He doesn’t deserve my obedience. He just has a way of getting under my nerves.

If that wasn’t going to work on her, I have something that definitely would.

  • IN BETWEEN TWO RIVAL ALPHA’S   Chapter eight

~Raemon~ “Don’t tell me to freaking calm down, the stupid fucker called her his wolf!” Furious was an understatement, I was freaking blowing up. I did all I could to hold me and my wolf down. I took a deep breath, trying my very best to hold it all in but fuck it? “He had her all these years and still had the audacity to call her his wolf right in front of me?!” I yelled out in anger, my fist kissing the wall. I couldn’t stop, I hit the wall again and again. “Alpha please stop, your hands!” Dexter called out, his voice hinting he wasn’t in support of this. “Why should I? I thought you searched everywhere for her? How come she was with him all along?” I growled, my fists needing an even harder surface. He calmed down, his voice leveled now. “We did Alpha, are you sure it’s our Luna you saw?” He looked me dead in the eye, asking a question that could get him killed. “Are you saying I can’t recognize my own mate? I freaking held her in my hands Dexter.” I found another spot

  • IN BETWEEN TWO RIVAL ALPHA’S   Chapter seven

~Lexa~I remained still, trying to think everything through. I don’t know what Alpha Zane was playing at but I wanted no part in it. “Are you hurt anywhere?” He spoke lightly, turning to look at me. “No, thanks for asking.”“What? You didn’t want me to come save you?” He asked, definitely picking the mockery and not the fake thanks I gave him. “Like you didn’t put me in such a situation yourself.” I let out a snort. “You’ve made it very clear that you don’t want me to train because what sort of surprise is this?” I didn't hold back and ignored the fact that I was raising my voice at him. I stared into his face, wanting to forget those eyes I was forced to look at a few minutes ago. Those huge hands on me and me stopping myself from saying what I so longed to say to that monster. “Miss Lexa, you don’t talk to our Alpha like that.” Josh cuts in, his voice stern but his eyes still focused on the road. I rolled my eyes, making sure Alpha Zane saw me clearly. His beta never liked

  • IN BETWEEN TWO RIVAL ALPHA’S   Chapter six

~Lexa~ I could literally hear my heart tremble. My wolf was unsettling but I had to remain still and calm. I sat there, listening to them converse like they’ve always wanted to. The disgust underneath their own voices. The monsters' very annoying gaze still on me. “You finally attended one of these? Are you going to sign up our trading contracts next?” Alpha Zane asked, laughing slowly. My mind was all over the place, was this the surprise he had for me? I asked beneath my own voice…But there was no way Alpha Zane knew anything about my past. He didn’t know or even understand all of the pain I’ve had to bottle up for years. “There wasn’t a reason to come until now.” Raemon definitely sounded okay. His voice was stern and not a hint of pain or regret. I know it’s been five years but at least he should have had a reaction if at all. “Please excuse me” I stood up, avoiding looking at anyone’s face. ‘He wasn’t supposed to be here, what’s changed?’ Anthrix tried

  • IN BETWEEN TWO RIVAL ALPHA’S   Chapter five

~Lexa’s POV~ “You don’t plan on harming me do you?” I gave him a murderous look. Ignoring the fact that he had been smiling all night long. And just why have we been driving for so long? “You’ll be fine since you were able to survive all these years with us.” He said smoothly, purposely making his voice sound soft. Just enough softness to spook me off. “Yea because I didn’t have to deal with your crazy ass directly..” I murmured with my eyes looking out the window. “Tell me I’m a mind reader because I’m getting points that you don’t wanna train anymore?” He faked a serious tone, waiting for me to look at him. “First, where are you taking me to? And what do you want?” I turned to look at him sharply. Let’s cut the pretense We’ve been driving for more than an hour and I just can’t think of anything nice happening with Alpha Zane by my side. “I’m not going to repeat myself again Lexa. It’s a surprise and I just need a date. Is that too much for you?” His voice didn’

  • IN BETWEEN TWO RIVAL ALPHA’S   Chapter four

~Lexa’s POV~"No, the red dress looks better on you than the white one. Plus, it’s a date, not a wedding."Christine wiggled her brows at me mischievously as she shoved the dress into my arms."Stooop!" I groaned, hugging the dress to my chest. "You’ve been teasing me since you walked into this room."Christine laughed and pulled me into a tight hug. "It’s because I’m so happy for you."I rolled my eyes, smiling as I hugged her back. "It’s not like you think. It’s just a deal."Christine pulled away with a scoff and helped me get dressed. She had been my friend for so long that I was used to her yapping especially when it came to her shipping me with Zane."But you and Alpha Zane look good together. I mean, everyone can practically see the tension between you two. It's always so electric." she said while doing my makeup with intense focus in her brown eyes.I was starting to get a headache from rolling my eyes too much."The tension everyone talks about is hate. Isn’t it obvious that
