Chapter 1

Lucas POV

Lucas was trying to get away from the teeming crowd as he exited the mall, the crowds were now almost upon him from all corners and he didn't want to be cornered by them. He saw an opening just in front of him, which was across the road. There was a taxi parked there that could take him away from here and anywhere he wanted to go to.

He made a dash for it, his gaze fixed on the taxi across, as he quickly stepped into the road without looking and then he heard the sharp screeching sound of a car coming to an abrupt stop, almost colliding with him. He could hear the crowds scream in fright. 

He turned his gaze and stared into the glass windscreen into the car and he saw her, a beautiful young lady looking back at him.

 Nicole POV

Nicole felt his beautiful gaze was fixed on her for minutes but it was actually only a few seconds but she enjoyed every second of it.

When she came to her senses, she was worried she had hit him with her car because she wasn't paying attention to the road as she was driving.

She opened the door of her black 1995 Chevrolet Corvette and stepped out in a hurry.

"I'm so sorry, are you okay?"She asked worriedly, as she walked towards him. 

He seemed to not have heard what she said,as he closed his eyes and breathed in. With his eyes closed Nicole could take a more detailed look at him.

His face was perfect with his pink lips,  long blonde hair and beard. He was very tall and was stylishly dressed in her favourite color, black.

Nicole perceived him and he smelt good like a human, but he was a very attractive human and Nicole could feel some of his awe from standing so close to him.

She gently held his left hand with her right hand to get his attention, as he was in a state of trance.

Lucas POV

The air around Lucas suddenly changed as the lady opened her car door. The air became euphoric and intoxicating again like it was with the vampire earlier in the morning.

Lucas closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet smell in. His urge to feed again came back strongly and he was in kill mode and then he felt a soft touch, a feminine touch holding his hand.

 Nicole POV

Nicole had to just touch a part of him, as she stood so close to him. He was indeed impressive in shape and form and when he opened his closed eyes, her heart skipped a beat.

His eyes were the most intense and sexy blue eyes she had ever seen. His eye pupils were dilated as he stared at her with kin interest. Nicole felt his gaze locked on her, could read her soul and her heart skipped a beat again. If he could read her heart and soul, then he would discover that she had fallen in love with him, it was love at first sight for her.

Lucas POV

Lucas opened his eyes, as he caught sight of the beautiful lady that was holding his hand. It was from her that the euphoric and intoxicating smell was coming from. His urge to feed was so great that it was dilating his pupils involuntarily as he gazed into her brown eyes. Her pupils were equally dilated, as she stared back at him with a beautiful smile on her face.

Lucas wasn't used to having a beautiful girl look and smile at him the way she did. He could tell she liked him but he had an incredible urge to feed, to suck her vampire blood and rip her into pieces. His stare increased as he fought to control his urge to feed on her right on the spot, while the crowds were watching.

"Is this your car?" Lucas said, his eyes still staring at hers intently.

"Yes, yes it's mine!" Nicole said with a smile, glad the handsome stranger finally spoke to her.

"Can you take me away from here", he said, sounding like he was in pain, as he looked at the crowd. It was the first time he would take his gaze away from her and look at the crowd.

Nicole followed his eyes and understood the crowds were bothering him. She now understood why she saw large crowds coming out of the mall earlier.

"Yes I can, please get into the car", she said excitedly,  happy to have this handsome stranger in her ride.

Lucas quickly made for the passenger seat and Nicole got into the driver's seat and they both shot their doors.

"Where would you like to go?", she asked as they sat in the car.

"Anywhere from here is fine", Lucas said, as he looked at the crowds outside the car.

"I understand", Nicole said smiling, as she drove away. Lucas mostly wanted to get to somewhere more private where he could feed.

They drove for a while in silence but the atmosphere inside the car was intense. Lucas was still looking at as she drove and he wasn't doing a good job of not making it obvious.

Nicole looked across to him severally as she drove, smiling at how his attention was fixated only on her before she busted out laughing.

"Why are you looking at me like that?", she said to him, blushing and laughing.

Lucas didn't say anything as he gently sniffed the air in the car. It was covered with her sweet vampire scent.

"You seem like someone popular, like a famous celebrity", she said smiling.

"Yes, I'm an actor and a model", he said, as he and his brothers just started their acting and modeling careers with the agent Perez.

"Wow, that's nice", she said, impressed.

"I could tell".

"My name is Nicole", she said with a beautiful smile on her face, with her right hand stretched as she introduced herself.

"I am Lucas, nice to meet you", he said, shaking her hand with his right hand.

Lucas was still staring at her as she drove around. She could feel his intense stare and although it was awkward, she loved it and loved him already even though she thought he smelt like a human.

"Where do you live?"She asked if she could take him there.

"I am new here, just got in this morning, I have not had enough time to go in search of an apartment", he said.

"Yeah, I could tell", she said with a smile. She had never seen a crowd go crazy like that before for a person.

"What hotel will you be staying in?", she asked.

"I'd rather just look for an apartment today, than stay in a hotel," he said.

"I was about to go look for one".

Nicole realised if he got out of her car in search of an apartment then this would probably be the last time they saw each other. She had her dream man right in her car, talking and listening to her and if she didn't act decisively she was about to lose the love of her life forever.

"Don't worry, you can stay at my apartment for now, until you get yours" she said.

"Don't worry it is very large and nice and can accommodate someone of your class" she added quickly. She was anxious, he was going to say no and it would hurt her feelings.

"Okay, I'll stay", he said, staring at her.

"That's wonderful!", she said happily. 

"I'll head home right away".

"Welcome to my apartment, here is where I live", Nicole said happily as they got in. She hoped her best friend Angela and her boyfriend Charles were not around. She wanted some privacy with Lucas, and she feared they would judge her for loving a human. The house was quiet when they walked in and Nicole knew they were not around.

Lucas followed closely behind her, not giving her her personal space. Nicole smiled as she backed him.

"You are standing so close to me Lucas," she said playfully.

"You smell so good", he said intoxicatedly.

"Wait, what? She asked surprised.

"I said you smell so good", he repeated himself, his body now touching hers. 

She smiled at his words and touch, as he moved his hands all over her hips up to her belly, caressing her, until he got to her neck, still standing behind her. She could feel him ignite a spark of passion within her, she has never felt for anyone before. He not only stole her heart in a short while but now he was about to take her virginity too. She moaned softly to his slow firm sensual touch through her body.

His hands were now at her neck, as he  looked at her artery running through her neck with longing, his mouth drawing closer to her skin.

"Tell me, do you live alone?", he asked.

"Yes I do", she said, almost breathless with a soft moan.

"Tell me, do you want me?"She asked, intoxicated by passion, as she moaned softly to his touch on her neck.

He sniffed the air surrounding her in one large breath before slowly exhaling.

"I want you, from the first time I saw you, i wanted you badly" he said, intoxicated by the scent of her vampire blood.

She quickly turned towards him. she could see that his head was lowered close to hers, with his lips partly opened. She saw that as a sign for a kiss and instantly went for it.

She kissed him and Lucas was stunned but he kissed her back. His predatory instinct now took the back seat and he enjoyed her passionate kiss. It was a long kiss and slowly they separated. Nicole loved the kiss they shared, they had a chemistry and taken over by passion, she wanted him to go all the way

"I knew I saw a spark between us when I saw you," she said with a smile on her face.

"I might not look like one but I'm still a virgin", she said shyly, avoiding his eye contact.

"But I want you inside of me, you can make love to me now", she said, placing her hands around his neck, now looking at him.

His killer instinct had been disrupted by her tender passionate kiss. He was plotting on how best to kill her but she had other ideas. He thought he was leading her to a trap, now it turns out she was the one actually leading him to a trap. She was proposing love to him because she thought he was proposing love to her. He had only a few minutes more to explain to her and leave her place before his killer instinct returned.

"Nicole, you are so beautiful", he said, trying to turn her down gently and to get the hell away from her.

"I want to…"

"I understand how you feel and what you want to say", she said, interrupting him.

You're so beautiful" she blushed, placing her hands on his face. "The most handsome", she said, still looking at me with the most beautiful hazel eyes.

"Take your hands off me" he snapped, pulling away creating distance between them but she closed it, already intoxicated by his love.

"Leave!" He warned for the last time, as his last restraint slipped away, fangs elongating. 

Fear gripped her, she ran but couldn't make it past the door. Catching her swiftly, he slammed her hard on the wall, his body touching hers.

"Too late princess" he hissed, as his beast surfaced. 

She looked confused and scared, he could see the love in her eyes. He was about to feed on the one who loved him.

"No, I won't do these", he said, slamming his fists against the wall several times.

"I am sorry princess", he said, as he let her loose from his entrapment and opened the door.

A small part of her was relieved she was not killed by him and a big part of her was sad to see him leave her and walk out the door.

"Please don't leave!", she called out as he opened the door.

He froze in his tracks, confused that she still wanted him to stay despite being a threat to her life.

He turned back and looked at her beautiful face.

"I haven't completely figured out who I am yet but just in case you don't know, I am a threat to you as a vampire", he said, as he walked away, leaving her door open.

She raced to the opened door.

"What are you then?"she asked, confused.

"I am a vampire hybrid", he said walking away without looking back.
