Mildred had now gotten permission to leave with Silas as soon as noon. She wanted to leave before dark because that was when the vampires were mostly going to attack. She knew a large bounty was still on Silas' head even though it had been two years since it was placed.
"I have Alpha White's blessing Silas, we can leave!", she said excitedly, as she walked into their quarters.
"That's goodnews Mildred, I know how much this means to you", Silas said.

Mildred held Silas in her arms as she wailed his death in anguish. It was really touching sight to behold. In the moment he died, the truth potion he shared with her expired and her sense of loyalty to him ended but the love she had for him was unchanged and she wept bitterly for him.
