Angela ran towards him leaving her car running with the headlights on.
"What's wrong Charles?", she said, sounding like she was about to cry with him. She had bent down and was now kneeling in front of him, both of them now at eye level.
Charles couldn't look into her eyes, he was ashamed to let her see him like this; dejected.
"What's wrong Charles?", she asked again, more worried than the first time. She was also checked if he was hurt in any part of his body but he wasn't.
"Sir Paul is dead!", he revealed, still in a state of shock.
"Oh my God!", she said, alarmed as she covered her mouth with both her hands.
Dracula with the help of his generals had succeeded in keeping the truth of their defeat to the vampire hybrids a secret from the entire global vampire hierarchy, in fact he had replaced the 19,000 lost in the ill fated battle with more than 30,000 vampire originals. Now as he stood in front of his generals in the inner chamber, all his thoughts were now directed on how to stop the vampire hybrids."What are the chances of the vampire hybrids launching a surprised assault on us?", Dracula asked all his generals.Katharine, Talon and Vladimir, were the last 3 generals remaining after the death of Cobra, except for Ambrosia who ran away and had since not been seen. They each thought on their own what the likelihood co
Mildred was now getting anxious to see the Alpha hybrid. The days of mourning were now almost over. "He must miss me", she said. "It's been days since he saw me last". "Now that he is calm, he must wish to be close to me", she reasoned. He had every reason too, he had a part of her soul and was surely going to crave her attention. "I just needed not to be where he is", she said, as she got up from the chair she was sitting on. "I need to find a way to sneak out", she said pacing around her bedroom. "I have too",
Mildred could see the Alpha hybrid did not welcome her presence, in fact he was now accusing her of stalking him.His question still rang in her head, as she thought about a response to give."So what do you have to say, how did you know where to find me?", he asked again."I told you before we both share a connection", she said. That was the best excuse she could come with to excuse the fact she was stalking him."It was through our connection, I was able to find you", she revealed.Lucas was unsure if he believed her claims or not but he didn't really care, what he cared about was that she had discovered his secret identity.
Lucas had sneaked back into his apartment building when he returned from his long trek just to deceive the witch from knowing where he lived with his brothers. He took one last look around the door leading into his apartment before he unlocked it and went inside before quickly shutting it.Mark and Andrew were in the sitting room when he walked in and they saw how quickly he shut the door behind him. He also looked like he was hiding from someone."Welcome back, how did your date go?", Mark asked. He didn't want to comment immediately on why he seemed unlike his usual self, he seemed troubled."It was perfect, I had a great time with Nicole", Lucas said as he walked towards them to have his seat.
Mildred sneaked back home, hoping no one had noticed her absence. When she got back, she noticed her room was exactly as she left it. She was relieved no one had come looking for her, including Alpha White. She headed to her bed to lie down from a frustrating evening she had with the Alpha hybrid. She didn't even get the chance to know his name or tell him hers. As she was about lying down she heard a familiar voice from behind and it startled her."Mildred, where are you coming from?", Alpha White asked. He was standing behind her door when she walked in and so did not spot him in her room.Mildred knew she had been caught for the first time. She didn't know how Alpha White would respond to her disobedience of his order.
It's been almost a day since Nicole last saw either Angela or Charles. Since then he hadn't heard or seen either of them, which was usual. She would have gone to check up on them earlier than this but she had a date with Lucas this evening and had to wait until her date with him was over. She thoroughly enjoyed her time out with him, it was truly beautiful and romantic as she had dreamt about. But now she was missing the company of her best friend Angela and her boyfriend Charles and so she drove to Angela's apartment to see if they were there. She parked by the street before getting down from her muscle car and walking to her front door. She tried to open the door, usually like her Angela didn't usually lock her front door but it was locked. She rang the doorbell and waited for her to come open the door but she didn't.
Nicole was still reeling from the news Angela had just told her but she had to brace herself for more as he was about to inform her about how he was killed."Charles told me yesterday, he heard from his source that he died some days ago in a battle which he fought alongside the vampire hierarchy", Angela revealed."Battle?", Nicole asked, puzzled."Were Dracula and the vampire hierarchy still fighting battles like they did in the medieval times?", she thought to herself. She thought they were more refined now, more diplomatic in resolving their modern day conflicts. To hear he died in battle was really shocking, something a lot of vampires who were not a part of the hierarchy thought it was in the past.
Nicole was surprised that Charles believed the trio of Lucas, Mark and Andrew could take on Lord Dracula and thousands of original vampires and win.It was a big revelation, one she had never considered before. She had feared that if the identities of Lucas and his brothers were revealed as the vampire hybrids they would easily be killed by hundreds of vampires, hence she vowed to keep it secret but she was wrong. It seemed they were invincible!"Okay", she said finally, accepting what he said could be true but she was going to speak with Lucas first before concluding on the matter. She needed to hear his own side of the story too."So you finally accept they hybrids were responsible for Sir Paul's death?", Charles asked to be sure. Angela also listened to hear her response.
