An Offer

My eyes flew open and I gasped in panic, looking at those hovering fingertips close to my face.

Dan froze above me, stunned even. I grasped at my gown covering myself up.

“You are a vampire?” He questioned with great interest and I choked on a response but nodded quickly in fear that he might attack me if I kept quiet longer than necessary.

“Does my brother knows about this?” He questioned, his tone devious.

“Of course he fucking does or he wouldn’t be protecting you like his precious little treasure”

“Please don’t report me to the king. I haven’t hurt anyone” I pleaded abruptly, a little sob escaping my threat as I began to tremble under him.

“I’m really tempted to do so but I have far more plans for you than my father does so get up” He ordered as he got back on his feet, tall and intimidating.
