Chapter 116

Lexie’s POV

Tyler and I agreed to finish dinner with my aunt, but we left shortly after, and she understood our reasoning why. The pain in my body slowly subsided to where I could bear it without the constant touch of Tyler. The car ride back to the hotel was a sober one as both of us were lost in thought of who could possibly have Xavier.

Tyler’s phone hadn’t gone off at all while we were at dinner and I was sure that Samuel had his hands full. The night was upon us as we pulled into the hotel and all I wanted to do was take a hot bath and take off this ridiculous dress that I had worn to pretend to be Lena.

When the car was parked Tyler got out and moved to my door to help me. Taking his hand, he helped me out of the car and started walking me back to our rooms. I hadn’t realized until we got back to our rooms that I was holding his hand and I slowly pulled my hand from his as the dull pain began at the loss of his touch and I wondered what the hell was going on with me.
