Twenty Five

The tip of her ears turned red with embarrassment and fear ; nevertheless she tried to keep calm.

"Boy sit down this instant. Don't make me shoot those legs of yours". John said from behind and Matt turned in shock.

"You!!!". He said with a dark look on his face. "What are you doing here".

"I came to see how my son-in-law was holding up. I've been reading the news, you know".

Lily rushed out of John's arms when she became uncomfortable and helped Matt into the wheelchair.

Matt scoffed at John's words as Lily helped him.

"Still having hopes aren't you?".

John placed his hands in his pocket, unbothered.

"You made this decision a long time ago and you suddenly think you can toss my Princess in th dark because of some slut?...".

Lily began arranging the mess he had made, acting like she wasn't even in the room.
